๐๐๐๐: The Turn-Over Ceremony in Upper Laclac, Barangay San Roque, San Manuel, Pangasinan, marks the formal transition of responsibilities from CORD to the San Roque Upland Organization for Sustainable Development (SRUOSD) after nine years of partnership and community development work.
Through the hard work and unity of the community, many issues were addressed, and community-managed projects were established, including the Agri-Vet and General Merchandise Store, Savings and Loan, Damayan Project, and other local initiatives. The organization also developed its 3-year strategic goals and 1-year operational plan to provide a clearer direction for its future initiatives and activities.
SRUOSD graduates with 52 active members and leaders who are now ready to continue leading and serving their community.
Congratulations to SRUOSD for this important milestone!
๐๐๐๐: On May 5, 2026, our Community Development Facilitator, Keren, successfully facilitated a Problem Identification and Prioritization (PIP) meeting in Barangay Tagbon, Milagros, Masbate, with the active participation of 122 households from Purok 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The meeting was conducted following three months of community integration and relationship building focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the local culture.
The participating households prioritized the following three key issues:
๐Prevalence of unprotected dug wells and insufficient supply of clean water๐ง
๐Limited awareness regarding the health impacts of unsafe toilets and open defecation.๐ฝ
๐Insufficient school supplies and reading materials for studentsโ๏ธ๐
This activity underscores the vital role of community participation in identifying poverty-related challenges and collaborating on sustainable solutions to build a more resilient and progressive Tagbon.

Her leadership started early in school, in church, and in her own community. People trusted her, and she learned how to lead with honesty, clarity, and care. That same approach continues today in how she works with teams and communities. She shares stories, lessons, and practical guidance that come from lived experience.
She continues to dedicate her life to strengthening communities, guided by feminist leadership that centers on dignity, inclusion, and shared power, and by a commitment to help people thrive with hope and justice.
