After six years I was finally able to play The Last Of Us II Remastered on pc. This game went out on PS4 in 2020 and just last year 2025 it was released on pc as a remastered version.
My old i5 8th gen with an RX570 (1080p king @ 60fps) gaming pc was lately out of commission so I used my older i3 6th gen with GTX960 to play and surprisingly it can play at low setting and with 1280x720 resolution @ 30fps (sweet spot hahaha! 😁).
The only thing is, it takes too long to load.. Shader compilation takes about 4-5 mins for hdd and 1 minute or less for ssd. SSD is recommended for faster loading times.
Tweaking system requirements is a skill you have to learn when you operate a gaming pc shop for 15 years hehehe! 😁

You can still save your malfunctioning hard disk drive.
Look for burned contacts in the board. Clean with WD-40. Wipe with clean cloth or cotton buds. Chance is, you get your hdd in good working condition. Doesn't always work when hdd is fried. 😁

Played some new games at 1080p with RX-570, the 1080p king !!! 😁

an Asus gaming 4 ram slot mobo, with 16gb DDR4 ram.
Need to upgrade to i5 to address processor bottleneck.👍👍👍
