Sneak peak of how i analyze. I use my weekends to read about my stocks or other stocks within the same industry. Ang recent worry ko is peso depreciating. It is affecting P&L na on one of my stocks, ang laki ng unrealized loss last quarter. And most likely it will be the same in the next succeeding quarters.

And to makes the matter worst, 2 of them will be due in the next 12 months so mgiging final na ung mga unrea unrealised fx loss nyan. Good thing, nghedge sila pero not the full amount, part lang, si affected prin.

It will eat their earnings, pero mkakamove on nman. I've seen worst companies na pati retained earnings ubos nagnenegative, kaya ok pdin nman toh.

Sabi ng ni Warren, he does not buy stocks he buy business. Saan tau patungo in the next 12 months.

And I do follow business owners sa Instagram or Facebook.

Just sharing what I do on my free time. Boring ba? Ito ang totoong stock investing, boring. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Post #14 Its been a while since my last post. Not so active anymore in this page. Ang negative kasi ng market this year, nothing positive to say. I created this page to motivate to buy pse stock and not to scare. But even with all the negativity, what do you think I am doing?

Ofcourse, the answer is still I buy. As I always do almost every month. It all depends on our (dati my lang, now I am married so ours na) cashflow kung mgknu monthly. I do my own version of peso cost averaging. If I know, may sosobra nman, I buy as much as I can of the price is cheaper than before.

I started observing the pse stock market, way back 2016. So 6 years na din. The prices this year at 15 PE is very cheap. It might go down even more, yes, but I am not manghuhula so I cant depend my buying on market predictions.

Side story, way back in 2018, when I came back in Phl. I want to do stock market full time, but almost every stock I know is expensive. Di ako mkabili ng pse index in the past. Hence I cant buy a lot hence it is not profitable. So I decided to work again. The price of pse index stocks before was way high kaya hindi ako makabili.

Now you can buy pse index at cheaper prices. Options to buy are a lot. Our money is finite so babalansahin din ang pagbili.

Post #12 (this is a long read so get your coffee first, haha)

How will I know if I can buy stock this month?

Before I decide if I am going to buy a stock this month and by how much I can buy, I need to assess first of our financial position. If you really think that your stock position is an investment, you cannot expect na by next month ibebenta mo na. This is a waiting game and so you have to be financially stable first bago ka bili ng bili.

So let me share how I assess my financial position. Below is the format I have been using for this year. It is simple and it has been effective. You just need to record your bank ending balances and investment balances. No need to be too complicated about it.

I just categorize them into to Cash or Investment. If I can liquidate within 3 days, that is Cash for me. If more than that investment na.

For cash - online banking na ngayon so its so easy to know this. If may crypto ka, since I am a conservative one, I don't record as current market value since magalaw yan, just get half of the current market value

For investment - I only include those that gives me more money. I don't include house that I live in or car that I personally use. Kahit pa taliwas sa definition sa accounting. I still think it makes more sense to exclude those since I am not planning to sell them anyway.

% change under investment is supposed to be positive unless you sell part of it. It does not make sense to still keep investing money if you are loosing money from it so I monitor that as well.

Also what I love knowing is the change under cell B19 and B26. B19 is supposed to be positive. That is the increase / decrease of your net worth. Syempre you would want your net worth to go up not down. But there are times that it can be justified. Like at this time we are paying for house construction, there are months that we are on the red. For me, it is important to note because I also like to see if we did not make that spend money on property, how much did we actually gained this month as can be seen on cell B26 change. Because most likely that is the expected change next year when the house construction is done. Now that you are done with Part 1, you kinda know now your financial position.

Part2, this is where the 12 months forward looking expenses comes in. I cant use the money that I know I will be using in the next 12 months in stocks. The 2 major expenses that we personally have is the house and wedding. I have a separate budget sheet on those 2. So you get the total cash balance that you have in Part1 and deduct all those expenses you know you will be spending in the next 12 month. Also deduct the emergency money that you always want set aside for emergency purposes. Only remaining cash (highlighted in green, I hope there is still left, hehe) is what I only spend for investment. It could be stock, mp2 or whatever legal that gives me more money. 😁

Post #11, I have not posted in a while. Its been 19 days... Life has been so busy.. May page nga pala ako need to maintain. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Family, bf, work, wedding prep, house, kdrama :)

Good thing with long term investing, you don't necessarily need to monitor it day by day. You can be busy with your own personal life and your net worth can still increase.

Day change last trading is 10k, not bad considering na ang dami pa ding bad news. Also, I realized I earned 11k in interest ytd on one of my savings account. Ok na din but that took me 8 months to earn. Saving is important but it wont really make you rich.

But before you start investing, make sure may phd ka na sa pagsave.

Post #10, I dont know what will happen to that Delta variant. I am not a doctor or manghuhula. People are scared, hence market bled today again.

We still need to eat and do grocery. Duon n ngaun ngsplusplurge mga tao, groceries, since d n nman tayo mkakagala. I know PGOLD is still a good investment decision

Property stocks super down, so now I am thinking of adding MEG. At 2.77 per share, omg, so cheap. Assessing again our financial. 🀣🀣🀣

Yesterday my portfolio went down by 14k pesos. Ouch..

What did I do? Nothing.. This is the time na I focus on work and ignore the market sentiment. Bahala kayo dyan.

If I have buying power, baka napabili na ako, unfortunately I don't so never mind. As you get old in the market, magiging manhid ka na rin when times like this happens. This is the reality. Sometimes, for whatever reason, people gets scared and the market is just down.

Another treasure video to watch. All out interview. He said in his hedge fund he does not charge any management fees. Only 25% of the profit after 6% hurdle rate. You wont usually find that on the current mutual funds available sa Pinas. Lagi merun management fees, usually 1-2% annually pa. Ganun sya katiwala na he can make returns. And then annually, his investors can exit.

He has also wow ah 80 questions muna na sasagutin even after ngresearch n cya ng bongga. Siguro, I only have 8 so far. I have alot to learn from this guy.

This is a 2010 interview and also he said they have been so active in the past 18 months. If you know the s&p 500 decade charts, end of 2008 to early 2009 was the best time to buy. He is truly a value investor. I am glad I have found you.

My idols are evolving, I started with ofcourse April Tan then became Warren Buffet then Charlie Munger then to Peter Lynch. And now this guy Monish Pabrai. He shares more detailed learnings. I learned a lot on this 30 min video. :)

Another good video to watch. Part of his interview, he talks about this extremely powerful business model of Costco. Why did that stock went to the roof. I like what he said, costco is thinking of themselves as a buying agent of customers. They don't really make money on margins but mainly on the membership fees that they get from their customers. Kaya iba talaga ang pagka addict ng mga shoppers nila because they know they are getting the best price.

One of the reason why I like PGOLD stock is because of Costco. What they are doing with SNR, almost same with Costco's business model. How they present the store to customers, parang treasure hunt ang dating. Ang iba nga lang SNR is really making money on the margin. Yup, same lang mayari nun, Puregold and SNR store if you still don't know until now.

VLOG # 2 CAPITAL TOWN PAMPANGA - MEGAWORLD'S FUTURE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT OF THE NORTH 04/07/2021

What do you do on your weekend?

I read full week news and of course watch youtube videos. Nkaka amaze tlga the info available on the net now. You don't need to go out of your house to know what is happening on the ground. It is all on the net.

A promising project of Megaworld. Part of their MREIT proceeds will go here Capital Town Pampanga and some other provincial township. They have the money to expand. Even with the pandemic, they still had positive operating cashflow.

Meg has always been personal to me. I worked both in Eastwood and Mckinley. Saw how good they are in expanding township. They do it with class.

They know how to make sulit of their investment property. Yung 1880 building na pinagtrabahuan ko in 2012 in Eastwood still for rent when I came back in 2018, walang pinagbago, they maintained it well. And now isasama pa sa asset swap ng mreit. Sulit na sulit. Tan family really know how to handle money.

Excited with this Capital Town, my mama commented baka daw bahain and all. Yeah correct, pero siguro naman naisip nila un before they invest money on it.

For now this is the property stock I am betting on. SM and Ayala are also good but I am afraid on how exposed they are with malls. Meg exposed to malls also pero much less naman kesa with SM and Ayala. So far, Meg ako and I am continually adding. Will add siguro 30k pesos this month. That my only buying power ngayon.

Happy investing everyone. :)

I did not buy any stock this month. Honestly, walang pambili. Hoping soon may dumating na buying power from the sky. 🀣🀣🀣

But what i like to discuss today is day change, since green sya.

So day change means, ung portfolio ko ngincrease ng 3,900 today without me doing anything.

Nagtrabaho lang ako as usual, I have a full time job by the way. 7.5 hours working shift. But the thing is it varies, pede ring red or negative ang day change. Pero in the long run, definitely green yan if maganda ang stock.

Ang stocks is really passive.

Unlike work, you work then get paid. If you dont work eh d no pay.

What stock comes to your mind when you read this news?

I read news as much as I can. Usually weekend, that is when I have time. It helps you decide. It is the accumulation of knowledge in my head that gives me the confidence to buy. It takes a lot of reading to have that confidence.

I am taking a risk on my hard earned money. Not matter what other people say, I will still buy kasi I've been monitoring that stock, nabasa ko un many times. I know the figures, the asset they have. Their current performance. Anung goods news. Anung bad news.

Am I always right on my stock picks? Of course not. I still had that stock I bought in Dec 2017 and it is still in the red. I still did not sell that Dec 2017 stock, its a good reminder for me.

Reading and being updated on the news helps you commit less mistakes.
