Cum Laude, "sana.”

That quiet “sana” carries years of puyat, breakdowns, sacrifices, and silent prayers.
You know you gave your best. You showed up even when you were tired, doubting yourself, or barely holding on. Yet somehow, it still feels like it wasn’t enough.

People say grades don’t define a person—and that’s true. But sometimes, having something to hold onto matters. Something that would make you say, “Ah, kaya ko pala.” Something that validates all the battles no one saw.

And maybe that’s why Samantha Bernardo’s words hurt so much:
“You’re always there, but never good enough to be there.”

You were close enough to dream it, but not close enough to claim it. And honestly? That kind of pain is hard to explain unless you’ve lived through it.

But here’s my realization: Not getting the title doesn’t erase the effort. Not wearing the medal doesn’t cancel the sleepless nights, the courage, the discipline, and the growth you gained along the way.

Maybe life was never about becoming “Cum Laude.”
Maybe it was about becoming someone who kept going despite feeling inadequate.

And one day, you’ll realize this:
You were never “not good enough.”
You were simply learning that your worth was never meant to be measured by a latin honor alone.
