We are excited to announce that preparations have officially begun for State of the Map Asia 2026 (SotM Asia 2026), the premier regional conference for the OpenStreetMap community across Asia.

This is your opportunity to bring the OpenStreetMap community to your home country and showcase your local mapping initiatives, innovation, and community strength on a regional stage.

We warmly invite communities, organizations, and institutions across Asia to submit proposals to host State of the Map Asia 2026.

We’re proud to have welcomed the global OpenStreetMap (OSM) community to UP Diliman for State of the Map 2025 - the first time the international conference was hosted in Southeast Asia! 🇵🇭

Through UP Resilience Institute (UPRI) and the UP Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, the University of the Philippines supported this milestone event, celebrating open data, collaboration, and resilience through OSM. The conference brought together mappers, humanitarians, researchers, and advocates who use OSM to make data-driven decisions that empower communities and build a more resilient future.
