WATCH: 73-year-old Fe Esperanza Castor-Pangan has been a girl scout more than half of her life, inspired by her older brother Roberto Castor. As she visits the gravestone of her brother at the Manila North Cemetery, one of the boy scouts who died from a plane crash in July 1963, she remembers the legacy left by her brother. 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙟𝙤, 𝙋𝘼𝙁 (𝙍𝙀𝙎), a proud member of the 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 of the 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, and also part of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, specifically the 128th Fire Crash and Rescue Group, was awarded the 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙡 by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). The award was in recognition of acts of heroism and bravery involving risk of life during the celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazarene "Translacion 2025".
