On May 23, 2026, the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 – 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 successfully conducted its 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧-𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, celebrating the achievements, dedication, and leadership of the cadets who completed their ROTC training and responsibilities within the unit.

The program formally commenced with the entrance of the 𝟏𝟑 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐬 of 𝐂𝐋 𝟎𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 “𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐀𝐇𝐈” together with their proud parents. Carrying the class name, “𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑦 𝑛𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑦 𝐿𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑡 𝐻𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐼𝑖𝑠𝑎,” the graduating class embodied unity, resilience, discipline, and strength as they reached another milestone in their ROTC journey. Their entrance symbolized the culmination of their sacrifices, perseverance, and commitment to leadership and service.

This meaningful moment was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an invocation led by 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐏𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐙. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, 𝟏𝐂𝐋, Executive Officer, asking for guidance and blessings for the success of the ceremony.

After the opening rites, welcome remarks were delivered by 𝐏𝐯𝐭. 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐜𝐞 𝐑. 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚 (𝐑𝐄𝐒) 𝐏𝐀, ROTC Coordinator, who warmly welcomed the guests, parents, officers, and cadets present during the event. This was followed by the reading of orders led by 𝟐𝐋𝐓 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐓. 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒), Assistant Commandant of the COLM ROTC Unit.

One of the significant highlights of the first part of the program was the Message and Relinquishment of Command delivered by 𝐂/𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐇. 𝐌𝐚𝐧̃𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝟏𝐂𝐋, the Outgoing Corps Commander. In his inspirational message, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the officers, cadets, mentors, and fellow leaders who became part of his ROTC journey. His speech reflected the values of leadership, discipline, service, and dedication that he faithfully carried during his term as Corps Commander.

The ceremony also witnessed the Formal Assumption of Command of the Incoming Acting Corps Commander, 𝐂/𝐌𝐚𝐣 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐂. 𝐓𝐚𝐧̃𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝟏𝐂𝐋, symbolizing the continuity of leadership and responsibility within the organization. This was followed by the Turn-Over of the Unit Symbol facilitated by the Presiding Officer, 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐈. 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐯𝐚 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀, Commandant of the COLM ROTC Unit and Group Commander of the 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, RESCOM, Philippine Army. The turn-over of the unit symbol represented the official transfer of authority, trust, and responsibility from the outgoing leadership to the incoming command.

The second part of the program focused on the graduation rites of the cadets. The Presentation of Candidates for Graduation was led by 𝟐𝐋𝐓 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐓. 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒), Assistant Commandant of the COLM ROTC Unit, presenting the 𝟏𝟕𝟓 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭 graduates who successfully completed the ROTC program. Following this, 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐈. 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐯𝐚 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀 formally declared the graduates, recognizing their hard work, perseverance, discipline, and dedication to training and service.

The distribution of certificates and awards then took place, recognizing the outstanding performance, leadership, and commitment of the 𝟏𝟑 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐬 of 𝐂𝐋 𝟎𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 “𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐀𝐇𝐈.” Their accomplishments served as an inspiration to the younger cadets who aspire to follow in their footsteps and continue the legacy of excellence within the unit.

Another meaningful highlight of the ceremony was the Formal Turn-Over of Newly Reservist Personnel led by 𝟐𝐋𝐓 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐓. 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒).. This significant moment emphasized that the graduates are no longer just students, but are now valuable assets to the nation’s reserve force, prepared to respond to the call of duty and serve the country whenever needed.

The ceremony concluded with pride, honor, and renewed commitment as the graduates officially stepped into a new chapter of leadership, responsibility, and patriotism. The successful conduct of the Graduation and Turn-Over Ceremony not only celebrated the accomplishments of the cadets and outgoing officers, but also welcomed the next generation of leaders who will continue to uphold the mission and vision of the COLM ROTC Unit.

The College of Our Lady of Mercy ROTC Unit proudly congratulates the 175 Basic Cadet graduates and the 13 First Class Advance Cadets of CL 06-2024 “MASINLAHI” for their unwavering dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence. May they continue to embody the values of patriotism, integrity, courage, and selfless service as future reservists and responsible citizens of the nation.

The Fifteenth Training Day and Final Examination of the College of Our Lady of Mercy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit - Affiliated was conducted on 02 May 2026.

The training day commenced with a rank inspection, followed by stretching exercises and the battalion formation, accounting, and reporting of the basic ROTC cadets.

The Fifteenth Training Day also commenced the Final Examination for the basic ROTC cadets, designed to assess their knowledge of military subjects delivered throughout the training period. The examination was administered under the supervision of 𝐒𝐬𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐑 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) and 𝐏𝐅𝐂 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚 (𝐈𝐧𝐟) 𝐏𝐀 with the help of the First Class and Second Class Advance ROTC Officers.

The Fifteenth Training Day marked the completion of the Basic ROTC training cycle, reflecting the cadets’ discipline, dedication, and commitment in their pursuit of service, duty, and excellence.

On April 9, 2026, 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 - 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 joins the commemoration of the 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫 at the 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐠 𝐧𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚 in Brgy. Agnaya, Plaridel, Bulacan.

The flag ceremony was led by 𝐉𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐣𝐞, Mayor of Plaridel, together with 𝟏𝐋𝐓 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐨 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐍 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒). Support was also extended by 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐯𝐚 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀, in honor of the heroism and sacrifices of our national heroes who gave their lives for the country’s freedom.

As part of the commemoration, the College of Our Lady of Mercy ROTC Unit actively participated in the wreath-laying ceremony, offering flowers at the 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐠 𝐧𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚 as a tribute and gesture of deep respect to the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen heroes. The unit’s participation in the wreath-laying was conducted under the training and guidance of 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐅 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀.

As we commemorate the Day of Valor, we reaffirm our love for our country and our appreciation for the lessons of history courage, unity, and compassion for others.
