I’m excited to serve PHS once more - Del Fin

Welcomed by the whole Planas High School’s (PHS) cheers and applause, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Del Fin, School Principal II, expressed her appreciation for all the students' and teachers' efforts and overwhelming support as she formally returned to PHS. As the new school principal, Mrs. Del Fin was officially installed on October 10, 2022. In her speech, she shared her excitement to serve as the returning principal of the school.

“Ma’am Del Fin has been one of the outstanding principals that Planas High School has ever had. Her visions are always for the betterment of the school,” said Mrs. Amparo Kabiling, a Mathematics teacher, when asked about her thoughts on Mrs. Del Fin's comeback. Prior to her reinstallment in PHS, Ms. Del Fin is the school principal at Natividad High School in Guagua, Pampanga.

The school principal once served PHS from S. Y. 2015-2019. During these academic years, she focused not just on the school’s physical improvement but also on the administration and educational achievement of PHS.

Student organization fair returns

Spearheaded by the Supreme Student Government (SSG), the student organization fair was held on October 7, 2022, after two years of halted in-person classes.

Different organizations participated in the said activity. Each highlights the important skills and knowledge that the student body needs to be holistically developed individuals. The following are the participating organizations: Teen Doctors and Teen Nurses, AP Club, Math Wizard Club, Sports Club, SAMAFIL (Filipino), PHS Dancer, Book Lovers’ Club (English), Young Farmers (TLE), YECS(TLE), and Arts Club.

The fair was intended to provide opportunities for students to engage in various activities and to foster interaction and connection among fellow students. This also allows learners to pursue their passion and interest while developing organizational and leadership skills.

PHS Celebrates World Teachers’ Day

It is a day full of sweets and surprises!

Students of Planas High School showered their appreciation to their teachers through chocolates, flowers, and gifts as the school celebrates World Teachers' Day. The Teacher appreciation day held on October 4, 2022, was made extra special with the prepared performances of the students dedicated to their respective advisers. The two-day teacher’s day celebration continued on October 5 by awarding teachers who showed exemplary effort and dedication to their profession.

September 5 to October 5 is designated as the world teachers’ month. This is to honor the unsung efforts of the teachers to sustain and improve the quality of education of students and learners worldwide.
