A colleague resigned, and I took over managing his assigned stores. One particular store kept complaining about products being damaged by mice. Suspecting a nest inside the store, I thoroughly inspected all possible areas but found no signs of one. I asked the crew about the methods previously used and learned that my colleague had installed glue traps for rodents and misted for flying and crawling insects. Although the glue traps were properly placed, there were no catches.When I asked about the timeline of the product damage, the crew said it happened weekly, and they requested rodent bait. I advised against placing bait inside the store because without knowing the rodents' paths or hiding spots, they could die inside the store and cause odor problems. The crew agreed.After 15 days, I returned, and the crew still reported product bites. I decided not to treat the store immediately but removed all the traps, planning to come back in 3 days. When I returned, I installed new glue traps strategically at multiple points where there were recent sightings and rodent f***s. I explained to the crew that varying treatment times was crucial for catching these clever mice.Within 4 days, each trap caught 2 to 3 mice. The store saw no further sightings or product damage, leaving both me and the client very satisfied with the outcome. This experience taught me that understanding rodent behavior and adjusting treatment timing were key factors in effective pest control.
