“When your kids understand that work is a way to serve God and steward their gifts, they’ll find purpose, impact, and joy—no matter what career they choose.”

Parents: your goal isn't for your child to achieve or earn the most. Not all children need to attend college or get high SAT scores.

Not every child needs the same path. Not every child is called to the same kind of work. And that’s okay.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is helping them discover how God has uniquely made them.

What are their gifts? What burdens their heart? What comes alive in them? Where do you see character, ability, compassion, leadership, creativity, or perseverance beginning to grow?

Your role isn’t to force them into a version of success that looks good from the outside. Your role is to help them discern God’s design and coach them toward faithfulness.

Because we know work was never meant to be just a paycheck, a title, or a way to impress people. Work is one of the ways we worship God, serve others, and steward what He’s entrusted to us.

Whether your child grows up to wash dishes, teach students, run a business, build homes, care for patients, create art, fix cars, or lead a team, their work can matter deeply to God.

What gifts do you already see in your child that might be pointing toward God’s design for their life?

When your kids understand that work is a way to serve God and steward their gifts, they’ll find purpose, impact, and joy—no matter what career they choose.

Character is shaped over time, through everyday moments. Here’s a free guide to help you build Christlike character in your kids: livingontheedge.org/product/how-to-build-christian-character-in-kids/

A mother’s love knows no bounds

You are a “living arrow” - you are a child of God … “You are of God and so fear not, for He is with you. Do not be dismayed, for He will strengthen you and He will help you. He will richly supply all your needs.”

Philippians 4:19 says that “God shall supply all your needs”. It does not say that God may supply some of your needs. It also says that God will do it “according to His riches”. Which means God does it “according to His riches in glory”. It is not according to the riches of your company or how well the economy is doing. No, it is according to God’s riches in glory!
People of the world feel helpless when something goes wrong. You are God's child, God does not want you to feel helpless. You are of God and so fear not, for He is with you. Do not be dismayed, for He will strengthen you and He will help you. He will richly supply all your needs.

He rescues. Not when we have it all together — but when we’re barely holding on.
When we were steeped in sin, Jesus rescues us. When we are in troubled waters He rescued us.
Jesus reaches into our mess, our fear, our storms — and pulls us up, not because we deserve it. But because He loves us.
He did that for me, Jesus reached down in love and He rescued me. He will do the same for you.
Are you feeling overwhelmed. Do you feel hopeless and lost. Hold on to hope. Jesus still rescues, He still delivers. You’re not alone. He loves you and delights in you. He will rescue you—right on time, right where you are.
He rescued me because He delights in me. Psalm 18:19

This is why next to establishing their identity (as a child of God), our next priority for a “living arrow” is to develop their character and their ability to respond to whatever life lthrows their way. It all starts in the home. We don’t just enroll learners, we enroll families who understand this value. The school is their second home. Success isn’t just about academic preparation.

I raised my daughter to get good grades…
but one day I walked into her room…
and I realized I had failed.

The bed was unmade.
Clothes were scattered.
The mess was screaming what I never wanted to see—

and she was doing her homework in the middle of dirty dishes.

That’s when I understood…
it’s useless to fill the mind with studies
if the hands don’t know how to serve,
if the heart doesn’t understand responsibility.

Because educating… isn’t just about sending them to school.
Educating is teaching them to pick up what they throw down,
to take care of what they have,
to respect the space they live in.

I also thought that teaching her to cook, to clean,
was taking away “important” time…
but no.
That was the important part.

Because tomorrow,
degrees won’t make her bed
or hold a home together.

A home is built with small things:
with dishes washed without being asked,
with a tidy bed,
with hands that help…
and with love shown in simple ways.

No…
teaching them to handle household tasks
doesn’t make them less of a man
or less of a woman.

It makes them human.
People who don’t wait for others to serve them,
people who understand that no one is king in a home—

because a home is not a hotel.
And it hurts to admit…
but many parents are raising brilliant professionals…
who don’t even know how to take care of their own lives.

I don’t want that for my child.
I’d rather have a responsible human being
than a degree hanging on the wall.

Because in the end…
true education
doesn’t begin at school.
It begins at home.

Our “Living Arrows” did it again - hitting the mark with grace & precision and we couldn’t be more blessed. To God be all the glory! Last September, LARC was recognized as the best performing school Journalympics. Not their first “star award” in journalism as Living Arrows and their coaches have always led in another yearly competition (WordCraft) regionwide

LARC was best performing school during the Journalympics last September 2025.

A joyful moment of authoritative affirmation! DepEd Confirmation officer cites 3 reasons why parents can take pride in having made the right decision in choosing to send their children to LARC. Firstly, LARC ranked #1 in the whole district in the recent NAT arcane for grade 6. Incidentally LARC ranked #5 in the whole division of Iloilo province. To God be all the glory! Kudos to our Living Arrows and their Trusted Bows (parents & teachers) abiding and yielding to the master Archer’s mighty hands

LARC Teachers'Day Celebration (10-04-24)

"Grateful Bows"
By: MRS, ION, CHC

This is a tribute to our little arrows,
A poem that each of you will know;
How grateful we are to have you,
Here in Living Arrows.

You are all the arrows,
We are the bows;
Bending a little will be difficult for you,
But in the end, it's for you to grow.

From the simplest thought, to the big challenges,
You made our hearts full and smiles painted in our lips;
For those who inspired us and kept us moving,
We humbly say THANK YOU for being here till the end.

To all parents who extended their helping hands,
Thank you for making our teaching journey great;
We express our gratitude this TEACHERS'DAY,
So much is in our hearts that we could say.

We have our differences sometimes,
But of these are settled in short time;
For our aim is all but the same,
To lift every child and dreams will be claimed.

To our partners in education,
May we continue to work with motivation;
With you, working hand in hand,
Our achievement will be grand.

Please accept our tribute, though it may be small,
It comes from our hearts and we gave it our all;
Just a simple token of gratitude for all that you do;
Our own way of saying that we love you.
