[Joint Solidarity Statement of the Ateneo Professional Schools Community on Araw ng Kagitingan]

The Ateneo Professional Schools Student Councils are one with the Filipino nation, as we call on everyone to stand up to Chinese incursion into Philippine territory and any other country that endangers our national security. Together, let us fight for the rights of our fisherfolk who are denied their right to fish on our own territory. Though the odds are insurmountable, the good fight for Philippine sovereignty must still be fought. For as long as China does not respect Philippine sovereignty, the people will continue to resist even if the Duterte Administration willingly surrenders.

We, the Filipino people will not capitulate to any whims and will remain skeptical despite supposed gestures of goodwill we receive. We pay homage to the bravery of all Filipino heroes in all frontlines who tirelessly battle the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to fight hand-in-hand for the rights that all Filipino people deserve.
