..we need to understand what lies beneath it. For the Proposed 3-level Residential Project in Terrazas de Punta Fuego, Nasugbu, a soil boring test is an essential part of the site investigation. On a steeply sloping property, the subsurface conditions help guide the structural and foundation design - particularly the appropriate foundation system, bearing capacity and considerations for slope stability.
Good architecture starts with good site understanding.

SMALL SPACE. SMART SOLUTION.

A thoughtful house addition that proves a limited footprint doesn’t have to limit good design. Through efficient space planning, every square meter was given a purpose.

Highlights:
✅️ Few visual elements to make the Facade less crowded and a sense of spaciousness.
✅️ Vertical Slats to increase street presence
✅️ Projecting upper floor to increase depth and dimension.
✅️ Wood tones and natural textures to soften modern aestheric.
✅️ Clean lights and neutral palette for timelessness.

CASA PJR at TERRAZAS DE PUNTA FUEGO | Nasugbu, Batangas

Perched on a steeply sloping site overlooking the ocean, this project brings together the warmth of Mediterranean architecture with the tropical character of its Philippine coastal setting.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS •
Asian Mediterranean architectural language interpreted with a contemporary approach:
✅️Terraced planning that responds to the site's natural slope
✅️Strategic orientation to maximize ocean views and natural ventilation
✅️Layered indoor-outdoor spaces that create a resort-like living experience
✅️Warm earth tones, natural textures, arches, and Mediterranean-inspired details
✅️Landscaped transitions that soften the relationship between the architecture and terrain.

DESIGN CHALLENGES •
The site's topography was one of the project's defining challenge. The lot does not simply fall toward the ocean - it also slopes sideways due to its lot orientation, creating a compound or multi-directional slope. Rather than treating the slope as a constraint, the design uses the natural terrain to create multiple levels, elevated viewpoints, and layered spaces oriented toward the ocean.
The design approach ultimately seeks to create a home that feels naturally embedded into the hillside - Mediterranean in character, tropical in response and distinctly connected to the ocean and mountains.
