Designed to embrace the beauty of Sampaloc Lake in San Pablo City, this proposed Commercial Strip reimagines the lakeside experience through a warm tropical-modern architecture that opens itself to the promenade and the water beyond.
The elevated shed roofs, natural stone textures, warm wood finishes, and glowing interiors create a destination that feels both vibrant and relaxed - a place where dining, leisure and community converge beside on of the city’s most iconic landscapes.
More than a commercial development, the vision is to create a walkable lakeside hub that celebrates the view, the breeze, and the everyday life surrounding Sampaloc Lake.

Few years ago, we designed this proposed Dialysis Building in San Pablo City. After the initial phase of construction, pandemic struck and the project came to a halt. Today, the structure is being given a new direction - reimagined and to be transformed into a Hotel. Excited to breathe new life into this unfinished story.
Stay tuned.

Grateful. Humbled. Fired up.🔥

What started as lines on paper, shaped by site constraints and client vision, has now grown into a built space recognized on a national platform.
This recognition belongs to our clients who trusted the process, and to the team who poured their passion into every detail.
We move forward - more inspired, more committed, and more driven to design spaces that truly matter.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL SERIES
Glass-heavy Houses Look Amazing...

But in a tropical country like the Philippines, is it practical?

Like many architects, I was inspired by Philip Johnson and the idea of transparency in architecture. I was very infatuated with his "Glass House".
Pinterest too have many amazing designs that could really capture anyone's imagination.

And YES - personally I’ve designed glass-heavy houses in my previous projects.
But here’s the truth I learned long after construction:

• The heat is not theoretical - you feel it immediately.
• Airconditioning becomes non-negotiable.
• Privacy becomes a challenge.
• Curtains end up closed most of the time (defeating the concept)
• Cleaning and maintenance is a challenge, esp. with acid-rain marks all over.
• Clients start saying, “Pwede bang bawasan yung init?”

At that point, the narrative changes from
“Ang ganda…🤗” to “Ang init!😬”

So let’s be honest:
Are we designing for aesthetics…or for actual living conditions?
Glass is not the problem.
Overusing it is the problem.

Because in tropical architecture, more glass doesn’t mean more luxury - it often means more compromise. Even sun-shadings can only reduce heat to a certain degree.

Would you still choose a glass-heavy house?

In 2019, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Tacloban City-based (now New Zealand-based) Architect, Dianne Lim-So, the Architect-On-Record, for the proposed NAPOLCOM Regional Office 8 Building.
The design envisioned a modern civic structure, thoughtfully integrated with elements inspired by the iconic San Juanico Bridge - expressing both function and regional identity.
Though the project remained unbuilt as pandemic struck, it stands as a testament to our commitment to purposeful, culturally grounded public architecture.
We look forward to contributing to more government projects that shape communities and serve the Filipino people. 🇵🇭
