This June, the Philippines marks Judiciary Month, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Supreme Court.

Declared under Presidential Proclamation No. 1265, s. 2026, the observance calls on government agencies, local government units, the private sector, and civil society to support and partake in the commemoration.

Established on June 11, 1901 through Act No. 136 of the Philippine Commission, the Supreme Court has stood as a pillar of justice—first led by Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano.

In line with this milestone year, the Court unveils a series of activities under the theme: “SC: 125 Years of Tradition and Innovation.”

Buenviaje visits Palawan Hope Christian School in Puerto Princesa City to monitor the opening block activities, the implementation of the three-term academic calendar, and other key school reform initiatives.

Department of Education Assistant Secretary for Learning Strands Dr. Jerome T. Buenviaje, together with Puerto Princesa City DepEd officials led by Schools Division Superintendent Ma’am Laida Mascareñas, visited Palawan Hope Christian School to monitor the opening block activities, the implementation of the three-term academic calendar, and other key school reform initiatives.

The visit highlights the Department’s commitment to strengthening educational quality and supporting schools in the effective implementation of programs that promote academic excellence and holistic student development.

Arellano, Grade 6 pupil from Adriatico Memorial School, DepEd Calapan City for earning Honorable Mention as one of the Top 20 Finalists out of 386 participants nationwide in the Poster Making Contest for Children (10–15 years old category) organized by the Supreme Court of the Philippines on June 8, 2026.

This remarkable achievement is a manifestation of the continued efforts of Regional Director Ronnie S. Mallari in improving learning outcomes and nurturing the creativity of our learners.

Our ALS Learners in DepEd Occidental Mindoro can now use the newly-inaugurated Sablayan ALS Community Learning Center (CLC) at So. Agsuli, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

Dr. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐄. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐥, DepEd Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development and Education Facilities Division graced the inauguration, together with OIC-Schools Division Superintendent Felix M. Famaran, CESO VI, who officially received the facility on behalf of the Schools Division of Occidental Mindoro, and witnessed by DepEd, LGU and Barangay Officials of Sto. Niño, Sablayan.

The ALS CLC is a DepEd-funded project realized in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Sablayan, which generously donated the school site.

DepEd MIMAROPA Region conducts Training Course on 19011:2018 Guidelines for Auditing Management System

The Department of Education – MIMAROPA Region, under the leadership of Regional Director Ronnie S. Mallari, PhD, CESO III, officially commenced the Training Course on ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems on June 7–11, 2026 at Axiaa Hotel, Quezon City, bringing together Internal Quality Audit Team (IQAT) representatives from the Regional and Schools Division Offices.

The opening day highlighted the vital role of internal auditors in ensuring compliance, strengthening process effectiveness, and promoting continual improvement within the Quality Management System (QMS). Sessions covered the selection and management of IQAT members, audit principles and procedures, and key provisions of ISO 9001:2015, focusing on organizational context, leadership, planning, support, operations, performance evaluation, and continual improvement.

Through expert-led discussions, participants gained valuable insights and foundational competencies necessary to conduct effective internal audits and support the sustained implementation of quality management practices across the region. #
