𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 💗🎁

With hearts full of compassion, the Social Work faculty together with the DNSC - JSWAP officers spent a meaningful day with the brave children of House of Hope Foundation for Kids with Cancer, Inc., at the Davao Regional Medical Center compound, Tagum City.

The visit was a simple yet powerful expression of love and solidarity for children courageously facing cancer. Through a heartfelt gift-giving activity, tokens of care were shared. Though simple, these gifts carried warmth and comfort, bringing smiles, laughter, and moments of joy to the children and their families.

Beyond the gifts, the day was about presence—sitting with the children, sharing stories, and creating small moments of happiness. These simple interactions reminded us that kindness, when given sincerely, can offer hope and strength in the most challenging times.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the DNSC Social Work community—our students, alumni, and faculty—whose collective generosity and love made this activity possible. Together, we shared more than gifts; we shared hope, compassion, and the reassurance that these children are not alone. 💕

Finals week is just around the corner, and even if you dare hide, you can never really escape.

But hey, this will be the last breathtaking, mind-breaking test we'll take this semester and it's a must to have your mind all sorted out, your orange books highlighted, and your prayers stronger than ever. With a lot of prayers, trust in yourself, and luck on your side, you will surely ace the finals!

Remember that in any test we take, in every failure we make, we are learning and we are growing.

Helping one another is one of the few essence of our community. In light of this situation, we are knocking on your kind and compassionate hands to be the reason for these childrens' comfort during this challenging times. Doing so will provide the children and their families with comfort, joy, and hope. A little help goes a long way and a simple gift can make a child live their life with happiness.

The DNSC Social Work Program proudly joined the Annual Affiliation Conference, organized by the Davao Regional Medical Center's Professional Education and Training Unit, alongside all affiliated schools.

As the sole HEI partner of the DRMC–Medical Social Work Department, DNSC extends its deepest gratitude for the meaningful and enriching clinical social work experience provided to our student field workers deployed across the various units of DRMC-MSWD.

The activity was attended by FI Coordinator Raquel Ladday, RSW, and Jonaros P. Fahit, MSSW, RSW, assigned SFI, and graced by one of the agency’s AFS, Bianca J. Tee, RSW.

We look forward to more years of partnership, shared learning, and opportunities to bring impactful practice experiences to our future social workers.

As the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance held its Pasundayag 2025, the Junior Social Workers' Association of the Philippines (JSWAP) poured their enthusiasm and won the overall championship of the event.

From the banner raising, jazz chant competition, larong lahi, and quiz bee, our energetic social work students truly carried the fun into the event. With their bedazzling singing voices and smooth, groovy dance moves, they have set the stage pink like never before.

They didn't just stand out because of their pinkish clothes and ribbons; they stood out because of their competitiveness and all-out energy.

Children are the wonders of the world. This month and every month, we advocate for their rights to protection, love, and safety. They are not just young members of society; they are our future leaders, the hope of our nation.
