𝗙𝗦𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

On March 3, 2026, the Federal Student Government (FSG) Congress successfully conducted its 10th Regular Session at the FSG Office, presided over by Chief Legislator Pro Tempore Johannah Aliah Beltran. The session proceeded smoothly as the body carried out its agenda in accordance with established legislative procedures.

During the deliberations, SGA No. 020 was presented for its 3rd Reading before the body. The measure was initially approved with 16 affirmative votes from the members present. Prior to the final decision, the body discussed several concerns, particularly regarding the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) procedures and response timeframe for complaints, as raised by Vice President Joanna Bernadette Tubo.

The session formally ended with the Congress recognizing the cooperation of its members and reaffirming their shared commitment to sustaining productive and responsible legislative work.

On March 8, 2026, the Federal Student Government (FSG) Congress Oversight Committee convened its Sixth Special Session via Google Meet, presided over by Chairperson Luiza Jill Cruz.

During the session, the committee discussed and deliberated on the proposed Committee Rules of Procedure, focusing on strengthening the framework, review processes for legislative measures, and internal procedures of the Oversight Committee.

These discussions aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability in overseeing legislative measures from Local Student Governments (LSGs).

The Office of the Federal Student Government (FSG) is now accepting applications for Commissioners of the Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) and the Commission on Student Government Audit (CSGA) in preparation for the upcoming student government accreditation and electoral activities.

Appointed commissioners will carry the crucial responsibility of ensuring that the electoral and auditing processes are conducted with integrity, transparency, impartiality, and efficiency. This is a meaningful opportunity for committed and service-oriented students to actively contribute to strengthening student democracy and upholding accountable leadership within DNSC.

On February 24, 2026, the Federal Student Government (FSG) Congress successfully conducted its 9th Regular Session at the FSG Office, presided over by Chief Legislator Pro Tempore Johannah Aliah Beltran. The session proceeded smoothly as the body carried out its agenda in accordance with established legislative procedures.

During the deliberations, SGA No. 020 was presented for its readings. The proposed measure was unanimously approved in its 1st Reading. Its 2nd Reading followed and was likewise approved, garnering 10 affirmative votes, inclusive of the amendments raised and agreed upon during the discussion.

Under Other Matters, Vice President Joanna Bernadette Tubo delivered important reminders on the duties and accountability of officers. She emphasized the importance of active participation, proper coordination, and the faithful ex*****on of assigned responsibilities in ensuring effective governance.

The session formally ended with the Congress recognizing the cooperation of its members and reaffirming their shared commitment to sustaining productive and responsible legislative work.
