Waves of teamwork and a shared mission 🌊⚙️

Last April 19, 2026, PSME - Kalanggaman Chapter and PSME Ormoc-Kananga Chapter came together for a memorable Joint Team Building at the stunning Kalanggaman Island. It was a day filled with laughter, collaboration, and renewed commitment to excellence and unity among fellow engineers.

We are grateful for the presence of PSME VP Internal, Engr. Estanislao M. Pialago Jr.; PSME VP Visayas, Engr. Ronnie Maligmat; and PSME OKC President, Engr. Lyndon Barabad, along with our dedicated PSME KC Officers and members who made the event truly memorable.

Beyond team building, the team also took part in a purposeful visit to Gawad Kalinga at Sitio Awo, Palompon, Leyte in support of the PATUBIG Project—extending our commitment from professional growth to community service.

Indeed, a perfect blend of teamwork, leadership, and service!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Kalanggaman Chapter (PSME - KC)has officially been ACCREDITED by the Palompon Local Government Unit (LGU).

This is a monumental achievement for our chapter, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to serving our community and upholding the highest standards of professional excellence. This accreditation not only validates our dedication but also opens up new avenues for collaboration and contribution to the development of Palompon.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Local Government of Palompon for their trust and recognition.

This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support, hard work, and dedication of each and every one of our members especially officers who always allocate time to make the goal happened.

PSME–Kalanggaman Chapter successfully conducted a Gift-Giving Activity at Gawad Kalinga, Palompon, Leyte. This initiative reflects the chapter’s strong commitment to compassion, unity, and giving back to the community we serve.

Through this meaningful activity, our officers and members came together not only to extend material assistance, but also to share warmth, encouragement, and genuine care with the beneficiaries. The smiles, gratitude, and shared moments during the activity reminded us of the true value of service beyond our daily professional responsibilities.

This undertaking serves as a powerful reminder that beyond our roles as engineers, we are also called to serve with empathy and purpose-uplifting lives, strengthening communities, and making a positive difference, one act of kindness at a time.

✨ Year-End Celebration, Fellowship, and New Leadership ✨

Last December 20, 2025, the PSME–Kalanggaman Chapter successfully held its Year-End Party and General Membership Meeting, highlighted by the Induction of Officers for the Year 2026. The event brought together our members in a spirit of fellowship, gratitude, and shared commitment to the profession.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was the formal turnover of leadership, where the outgoing Chapter President, Engr. Realyn C. Matandac, passed the responsibility of leadership to the incoming 2026 Chapter President, Engr. Reny E. Povadora, PME. This transition marks a new chapter of service, continuity, and strengthened commitment to the goals and values of PSME.

As we close the year, we celebrate not only the season but also the unity of our members and the collective efforts that continue to move the chapter forward. With new leadership in place, the PSME–Kalanggaman Chapter looks ahead with optimism, purpose, and renewed dedication to professional growth and service.
