A comprehensive resource package has been developed and undergone rigorous quality assurance for the training of Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) teachers who are assigned to teach Filipino but are not majors in the subject β a widely recognized gap in the Philippine basic education system.
The initiative, formally titled Pagsasanay para sa G**o ng JHS at SHS na Nagtuturo ng Filipino na Hindi Medyor (Training for JHS and SHS Teachers Who Teach Filipino Who Are Not Majors), aims to equip educators with the foundational content knowledge, pedagogical strategies, and instructional materials necessary to deliver Filipino-language education with confidence and competence.
"This resource package bridges a critical gap β ensuring that every Filipino learner, regardless of who stands before them, receives instruction rooted in genuine competence in the national language."
