Sya si Agustín Sumuroy, isang matapang na lider mula sa Palapag, Samar at isa sa pinakamatapang na bayani ng ating kasaysayan. 💪🏻
Noong 1649, pinamunuan niya ang sikat na Sumuroy Revolt laban sa mga mananakop na Espanyol. Nag-alsa sila dahil sa mapang-abusong batas na Polo y Servicio — kung saan pilit pinagtatrabaho ang mga kalalakihan nang walang bayad, pinapagawa ng mga barko at gusali malayo sa kanilang mga pamilya at bayan.🇵🇭
Sa pamumuno ni Sumuroy, nagkaisa ang mga taga-Samar at mga Waray na lumaban para sa kanilang karapatan at kalayaan. Siya ay nananatiling simbolo ng tapang at pagmamahal sa bayan, at isa sa mga unang Pilipino na lumaban para sa ating kalayaan noon pa man.✨
