🎬🍿 Learning Lounge Field Trip!

Today the kids went to the cinema to watch Hoppers, and what started as a fun movie outing turned into a great opportunity to talk about environmental awareness, social responsibility, and caring for the world around us. 🌱

We love moments like this—when kids are laughing, enjoying a story, and learning at the same time. Field trips may look like “just watching a movie,” but they’re really about building memories, friendships, and learning to experience stories together. 💛

Sometimes the best lessons don’t happen at a desk, but through shared experiences and the conversations that follow.

And of course, we had to take the classic photo by the movie poster! 📸

Today at Learning Lounge, we dedicated an entire day to one word: Strange.

We explored it in philosophy, in science, and in art.

We talked about ideas that were once mocked — like handwashing, flying machines, and a moving Earth.
We wrote about the parts of ourselves people don’t always understand.
We studied Salvador Dalí and surrealism, where melting clocks remind us that imagination doesn’t follow ordinary rules.

By the end of the day, “strange” didn’t feel negative anymore.

It felt creative.
It felt brave.
It felt powerful.

The world doesn’t need less strange.
It needs thoughtful strange. ✨

Art study at Learning Lounge 🎨

Today, our learners were introduced to Gustav Klimt and The Kiss. Instead of “free drawing,” they focused on careful observation, patterns, and details—copying the artwork as a best-effort exercise to truly understand the artist’s style and process ✨

At Learning Lounge, learning goes both ways.
We learned Bahay Kubo naturally in the playground.
Today, teaching it to the kids became a lesson on PATIENCE for the teacher. 😂👏

Today smelled like waffles, laughter, and confidence 🧇
Our Learning Lounge kids cooked, priced, sold, and smiled their way through their first mini business of 2026—earning ₱21 each from our supportive neighbors in the building. It’s never about the amount, but the lesson: “I can do this.” 💛

This is what real-world learning looks like: messy, joyful, and meaningful 💛

Today at Learning Lounge, we channeled our inner Joan Miró — bold lines, happy shapes, silly colors, and LOTS of imagination! The kids created their own playful little worlds on paper… and nobody worried about perfect lines or staying inside the shapes. Just freedom, creativity, and fun — the best kind of learning. 🎨🫟

Joan Miró loved playful lines...and so does Martha. 💚 Today she happily filled the whiteboard with swirls and squiggles, while the bigger kids are working on their drawings. No rules, no pressure...just feeding the little artist within. It matched perfectly with today's lesson on Joan Miró, where playful lines and imagination lead the way. 🎨
