Our community lost an amazing friend and restaurateur. John Kim of John's Sushi and Steakhouse was more than just a business owner; he brought joy, kindness, and unforgettable meals to all who walked through his doors. Rest peacefully, John. You’ll be missed dearly.

The Pacific Pomfret (Mochong) fish and chips at John's Sushi and Steakhouse is a rare find, especially here in the Philippines. The fish was flaky, juicy, and cooked just right. The batter had the perfect crunch without taking away from the fish's flavor.

What’s great is that the fish has no fishy taste whatsoever, making it really easy to enjoy. Paired with the chips (or mojos) and a good splash of malt vinegar, it just works. If you’re in the mood for something different and tasty, give it a try.

A huge congratulations to Carlos Yulo on winning Olympic gold! Even with the medal around his neck, he shook his head in disbelief. At 24, he placed his hand on his heart as the Philippine national anthem played for the first time at the 2024 Paris Olympics. 🇵🇭🏅
