One year ago today, our lives changed forever. After so much prayer, sacrifice, and hope, our daughter received her Cochlear Implant, a gift that opened up a world of sound for her. We saved, we prayed, and God was faithful.
To every doctor, nurse, and specialist who made that day possible, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave our daughter something priceless.
And to every single person who contributed to the funds, whether big or small, your generosity made this miracle possible. You believed in our daughter even in moments when the road felt long and uncertain. We will never forget your kindness.
Today, on this Easter Sunday, we are reminded once again that miracles are real. Just as we celebrate the risen Lord, we also celebrate one year of our daughter hearing the world around her, laughing, growing, and thriving. Every sound she hears is a testimony to God’s grace and the love of an amazing community surrounding our family.
All glory to God, and endless gratitude to everyone who walked this journey with us. 🙏❤️

Hanging out at Maccas
4 weeks since surgery and it’s finally activation day. Processor (the external device) is switched on at 10 charges/power. The audiologist set it at low charge to help Maui ease into hearing the sounds around her.
The goal is to stimulate the auditory nerves with new sounds. Minimal reactions from Maui is expected. But we are glad she heard the beeping sounds. 😍
Processor mapping will be continued for the next 2-3 months.
