As the celebration of National Women’s Month comes to a meaningful close, we reflect on the strength, resilience, and leadership of every woman and every Minaleña.

As our closing feature, we proudly honor and recognize 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚 “𝐃𝐨𝐜 𝐊𝐚𝐞” 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐭, 𝐌.𝐃. - Board Member of the 4th District of Pampanga. An OB-Gyne practitioner and a strong advocate of preventive healthcare, especially for women. She made history in the 2025 elections, becoming the first woman elected to the position with her service-driven leadership.

She embodies the spirit of a modern-day Babaylan - nurturing, empowering, and leading with compassion and purpose for the well-being of others.

As Women’s Month ends, may HER story inspire more women to rise, lead, and create lasting change.

Empowering PWDs Through Livelihood 💙

As part of the celebration of Women with Disability Day, we commend the PDAO, headed by Sir Gino Muan, for successfully organizing the Pastillas and Pulvoron Training for women with disabilities last March 24, 2026.

TESDA GPSAT served as the trainer, while GAD Minalin supported the initiative, together with the leadership of Mayor Philip Siojo Naguit. This collaboration strengthens skills and promotes inclusive livelihood opportunities especially for women with disability.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟕𝟒𝟒, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒 declares the last Monday of March as 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆, a celebration of the strength, resilience, and contributions of women with disabilities.

In celebration of this, GAD Minalin proudly stands with and honors women with disabilities, recognizing their invaluable role in our community.

We are also proud to congratulate and recognize Ma’am 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 as this year’s 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐖𝐃 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Your inspiring journey is a testament that there are no limits to what women can achieve.

𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚

Ma’am Charmaine Gamlanga stands as a shining symbol of courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to service. In January 2017, she was diagnosed with breast cancer—an experience that would test not only her physical strength but also her spirit. With remarkable bravery, she underwent six (6) sessions of chemotherapy and thirty (30) radiation treatments, facing each challenge with determination and hope.

Despite the hardships, Ma’am Charmaine refused to be defined by her illness. She continues her journey of healing and strength as she undergoes bone therapy every four months, demonstrating that true strength lies in perseverance and faith.

Beyond her personal battle, Ma’am Charmaine has transformed her experience into a source of inspiration for others. She currently serves as the PWD President of Barangay Sto. Domingo and as the Federation Vice President of the Municipality of Minalin. In these roles, she actively advocates for the rights, welfare, and empowerment of persons with disabilities, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.

Her leadership is marked by compassion, dedication, and a deep sense of purpose. She uplifts her fellow PWDs not only through programs and initiatives but also by being a living testament that challenges can be turned into opportunities to serve and inspire.

Ma’am Charmaine Gamlanga truly embodies the essence of a Most Outstanding PWD Woman—resilient in adversity, passionate in service, and a beacon of hope to the community she serves.

💜 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻 | 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

In celebration of 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯'𝘴 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩, the Local Government Unit of Minalin conducted its 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙-𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙥 𝙎𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 at the Super Health Center, Sta. Maria, Minalin, Pampanga, providing preventive healthcare and promoting early detection of cervical cancer for our Minaleñas.

This initiative, led by Dr. Kariza 'Doc Kae' Naguit, 4th District Board Member of the Provincial Government of Pampanga, in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) of LGU Minalin and the Minalin Health Office led by Dr. Rina Pilao, together with its dedicated medical personnel, continues to bring vital health services closer to women in our community.

We thank the Pampanga Provincial Health Office, the Nars sa Nayon Program, and our committed Barangay Health Workers and Nanay Community Workers for helping make this mission possible.

The event was also joined by COMELEC Minalin, who conducted a special Satellite Voter Registration for Women, further empowering women in our municipality.

In celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, we continue to honor the remarkable Minaleñas who have made significant contributions to the community.

This week, we shine the spotlight on Former Councilor 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐮 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐚 𝐃𝐮𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐬, the first female three-term Municipal Councilor (2004–2013). A dedicated advocate of women’s rights, she led with compassion and a human-centered approach in leadership, advancing social welfare and systemic protection. Her notable contributions include the Gender and Development (GAD) Code of Minalin and the Comprehensive Children and Family Support System. Former GAD Focal Person and Municipal Administrator, she remains a role model in leadership and service.

This National Women’s Month, the Local Government of Minalin celebrates every Minaleña whose commitment breaks barriers and shapes a more inclusive future.
