On May 14, 2026, at 8:30 AM, the NDMC Learning Resource Center successfully conducted the 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The activity was designed to reorient the students on the correct use and access of the library's electronic resources and online databases to support their academic and research needs.

Special thanks to our speaker, Sheryl D. Manantan- Coquilla, RL, Periodical Librarian for sharing her knowledge and guiding the participants through the session. We also extend our appreciation to Sir Nero L. Hontiveros, Course Instructor, and Engr. Mark Bryan C. Tenebroso, PCPE, ME-CPE, Dean of the CITE Department, for their support and coordination in making this activity possible.

[𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦] 𝐍𝐃𝐌𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞

The Project Team of the “Digitization of Filipiniana and Cultural Heritage Materials among Cotabato Libraries and Information Network (COLINet) Member Libraries” paid a courtesy visit to the President of Notre Dame of Midsayap College and the NDMC Librarians on February 27 to formally present the objectives and implementation plans of the initiative.

The project aims to preserve and digitize valuable Filipiniana and cultural heritage materials housed in COLINet member libraries, ensuring their long-term preservation and wider accessibility. It also seeks to enhance the digital competencies of library personnel through capacity-building activities, promote resource sharing among member institutions, and strengthen institutional partnerships in support of cultural preservation and knowledge dissemination.

This initiative is a collaborative undertaking of the Cotabato Libraries and Information Network, Inc., in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Library and Information Services, and the University of Southern Mindanao, which provides technical support for the digitization process.

The project team is composed of Prof. Anita C. Sornito, RL, LPT, EdD, Project Leader; Prof. Susan S. Martinez, RL, MLS, Director of USM-KPLRC and Component Leader on the Selection and Metadata Management of Filipiniana Materials; Dielita M. Garcia, RL, LPT, COLINet President and Component Leader for Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination; Prof. Catherine Daffon, Component Leader in the Development of Online Accessibility of Filipiniana Materials; and Prof. Melecio Cordero, Component Leader for the Digitization of Filipiniana Materials.

As an active member of COLINet, Notre Dame of Midsayap College affirms its full support for this meaningful initiative. Through this collaboration, the institution contributes to safeguarding local history and cultural heritage while advancing equitable access to knowledge for the academic community and the wider public.
