The Commission on Population (POPCOM) is the country's response in pursuing the overall objective of contributing to the improvement and promotion of the total well-being of adolescents. In particular, the AHD program aims to reduce the incidence of STI and HIV-AIDS, teenage pregnancy and other risky and non-risky adolescent sexual behaviors thru responsible adolescent sexuality and reproductive health campaigns. One of the means of assistance to in-school and out of school adolescents is the establishment of School-based Teen Centers and Community-based Teen Centers. The teen centers complement and reinforce the role of schools in educating, counseling and empowering the students. Teen centers are potent sources of information and learning aid for skills building or simply places for recreation or socialization after school hours.

The Population Section is proud and inspired with the initiative of Jetro Caleb B. Cadungog, the SK Chairman of Sadaan for the enhancement of the Teen Center of his barangay to address the increasing number of teenage pregnancy. As of now, the Teen Center of Sadaan is the only functional teen center in our Municipality.

POPCOM Midsayap has resumed conducting PRE MARRIAGE ORIENTATION. 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month (Non working Holidays are not included). Walk in clients are not allowed. Register first at Nutrition/POPCOM Section, MSWDO buliding, second floor. Only 10 couples per session. First come, first served. Thank you.
