Someone has to say it because I actually don't get the hate that "random small talks" gets...
It's like we are going back to the time when people are saying "bring back the social in social media" but actually hates it??? π€¦π»ββοΈ
EXCLUDE ME FROM THE NARRATIVE COS I ONLY WORK WITH BUSINESS COACHES WHO ARE HAPPY TO START FROM SMALL TALKS TO SALES. πΈ

Most of my clients come to me either of the two reasons:
1 - they feel TOO AKWARD to send a DM as they think people would assume they are ALREADY PITCHING on their welcome message
2 - they do not know how to STOP after they sent their welcome message⦠that leads to even a more awkward, CRINGE-Y,
and pressured conversations
The truth is - you start to feel this way if you always look at the other person as a number on your leads list, just waiting for the right timing to pitch a harmless FREEBIE or maybe even pitch your service as you think they need it π

When M2M is still relevant in 2023. π
Whenever I review my clients' old messages - there's one common thing they LACK when they try to DIY their lead gen & engagement: LACK OF PRE QUALIFYING QUESTIONS.
This becomes a problem when YOU START TO THINK that you can insert *sales conversations* at the early stages of a nurturing relationship.
Some don't even know HOW to ask - and just continue to be *CHILL & FRIENDLY IN THE DMS* and then proceed with a sales pitch. π (Uh, no!)
Some don't even know pre-qualifying questions - and that's okay (for now) -
SO LET ME EXPLAIN:
HOW DOES PRE QUALIFYING QUESTIONS BECOME IMPORTANT?
ππΌ This could be your gateway to letting your lead open up and could turn your questions into a deeper level of conversation where you get to see what are their now-problems (UHM HELLO, BESTIE!)
ππΌ You get to see how URGENT they need support and if they are READY for the commitment (including the investment)
ππΌ Since they are the one opening up - because of your questions - when it's the right time to PITCH, your offer wouldn't look or sound like HARD SELL anymore because you were able to HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THEIR NEED.

Can I just say that I am at my happiest businesswoman ERA now that I vibe and work with the dreamiest clientele? π
I used to work for everyone in any phase - thinking that I could do ALL THE HEAVY WORK.
Unfortunately, that is not always a successful case.
I ended up feeling alone, burnt out - worst, unworthy.
But I knew this isn't how my story is going to end. I know something has to change.
What did?
My sales process.
1οΈβ£ I tidied up bits and pieces of how I attract, how I pre-qualify, and how I close clients.
2οΈβ£ I set boundaries to allow me to work on a healthy surrounding without sacrificing any of my physical/mental health.
3οΈβ£ I stopped thinking that I AM A SUPERWOMAN for everyone - I unapologetically only work with clients who ARE READY TO DO HALF THE WORK.
4οΈβ£ I realized and accepted the OBVIOUS FACT that I needed to outsource parts of my business to prevent the burnout and actually help me to focus on my client work and experience.
If you are meaning to change or shift something in your business - may this be YOUR SIGN to go for it and start your DAY 1. β¨ Thank God I decided on a lot of Day 1s - but here's to never quitting, putting up courage and valuing integrity in your business.

Taylor Swift isn't lying when she said EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED β
But this CHANGE... did not happen overnight. π

I had to CLEARLY ENVISION the WOMAN I am meant (and wanted) to become to make life changing shifts in both my personal and business life.
The photo on the left was a preview of me when I thought working 24/7 is just being passionate and caring with my clients. Charging $250/month for a HUGE workload - engagement, content, etc. Don't have enough confidence with what I do and HOW I DO IT - that made me super vague with my intentions and messed my messaging and my value.
Deep inside, I know I am MEANT FOR MORE. π₯
β Did a LOT of mindset shifts!
β Invested with private and group mentorship that would strengthen the core of my business and add value to my SKILLS
β Staying committed to the value I promised to provide
β Valued client relationships with healthy boundaries... stayed friends with most of my past and current clients β¨
β Invested with team members who knows and values my business πͺπ»
β Never ending studying & upskilling to always provide the best value I could offer
β Embraced my own personal value by taking care of myself more π
..the list just keeps on going! π₯
WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO SAY IS THAT - if you envision yourself to be MORE, if you know you can DO MORE - you have to DRAG YOURSELF (if you need to!) outside that zone of comfort you've been staying at for quite long... and actually START GETTING THINGS DONE. πͺπ»
