As part of the Department's continuing commitment to fostering collaboration, inclusivity and employee engagement, MLGOO Salas participated in the online learning session aimed at exploring ways to strengthen teamwork, appreciate diverse perspectives and building a more connected, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.

June 1, 2026 | DILG Merida participated in the joint ocular inspection of the proposed Balay Silangan Facility of LGU Merida together with representatives from PDEA, PNP, and the Municipal Engineering Office to assess the site's suitability and readiness for the establishment of the facility.

June 1, 2026 | DILG Merida facilitated a coordination meeting between LGU Merida and PDEA to strengthen the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP), with emphasis on sustaining and retaining the drug-cleared status of barangays through continuous compliance with program requirements and interventions.

May 28, 2026 | DILG Merida enjoined the local government unit of Merida and all barangays to actively observe National Flag Day through the proper display of the Philippine Flag in their respective offices and areas of jurisdiction, thereby promoting patriotism and national consciousness.

May 21, 2026 | DILG Merida facilitated the regular Barangay Secretaries’ Meeting focusing on the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, Barangay Development Planning, Inventory and Turn Over of Properties and the monitoring of Barkada Resolution/Ordinance, resulting in strengthened coordination and compliance among barangays.

May 14, 2026 | DILG Merida facilitated the participation of all barangays in the Strengthening of Barangay-Based Institutions (BBIs), with emphasis on enhancing the functionality and capacity of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs).

May 13, 2026 | DILG Merida collaborates with PNP Merida on the implementation of the BADAC and Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) Retention to sustain barangays’ drug-cleared status and strengthen anti-illegal drug initiatives.

May 13, 2026 | DILG Merida coordinates with the Municipal Planning and Development Office with Ms. Nikki I. Sereño, MPDC-Designate, relative to the updating of the Barangay Development Plan (BDP) to ensure alignment with current local development priorities and planning requirements.

May 11, 2026 | DILG Merida continues its regular collaboration with Bureau of Fire Protection to strengthen the implementation of Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) activities. The initiative aims to ensure sustained inter-agency cooperation in advancing public safety and community preparedness programs in the municipality.

May 11, 2026 | MLGOO Salas convened a coordination meeting with Mr. Francis Abarre of the Municipal Agriculture Office to discuss the implementation of HAPAG and ensure timely submission of reports concerning ASF and ABE. The activity aimed to reinforce inter-office collaboration and enhance compliance with reporting requirements in support of local agricultural and food security initiatives.
