‎On Father’s Day
‎In the silence of memory,
‎there is the Father
‎the one who gave blood and name,

‎There is the Stepfather,
‎who stepped into the gap,
‎who chose to love a child not his own,
‎and made that love whole,
‎without measure, without condition.

‎pillar of the home,
‎who became Father once more
‎to the children of his children,
‎guiding with stories,
‎with lessons carved by years,
‎with hands that still held,
‎even when weary with age.
‎
‎There is the Mother
‎who carried two weights,
‎two roles,
‎who became Father too,
‎who built a home from strength,
‎who kept the fire burning,
‎even when alone in the dark.
‎
‎And there are all the Fathers
‎the seen, the unseen,
‎the ones who stayed,
‎the ones who left,
‎the ones who rose,
‎the ones who carried us quietly,
‎without applause,
‎without recognition.
‎
‎Today,
‎we honor them all.
‎The lost.
‎The present.
‎The steadfast.
‎The silence.
‎
‎On Father’s Day,
‎we do not speak of one.
‎We speak of every face of love,
‎every hand that held,
‎every voice that guided,
‎every sacrifice that shaped us.

Ngayong ika-19 ng Hunyo 2026, ginugunita ng buong bansa ang ika-165 na anibersaryo ng kapanganakan ng ating Pambansang Bayani, si Dr. José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda.

Higit pa sa pagiging isang manunulat at repormista, si Rizal ay nagsilbing haligi ng pambansang kamalayan ng mga Pilipino. Ang kanyang mga akda, partikular ang Noli Me Tangere at El Filibusterismo, ay naging mitsa ng pagbabago na nagmulat sa sambayanan laban sa mapaniil na sistema ng kolonyalismo. Ang kanyang buhay, mga adhikain, at sakripisyo ay nananatiling mahalagang bahagi ng paghubog ng ating pambansang pagkakakilanlan at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Sa gitna ng mga hamon ng makabagong panahon, ang mga prinsipyong kanyang isinabuhay, tulad ng pagpapahalaga sa edukasyon, katarungan, at pagmamahal sa bayan, ay nananatiling makabuluhan at napapanahon. Ang kanyang pamana ay paalala na ang tunay na katapangan ay nasusukat sa paninindigan para sa katotohanan at sa pagsisikap na maiangat ang kalagayan ng kapwa at ng sambayanan.

Sa paggunita sa araw na ito, isang hamon sa bawat Pilipino, lalo na sa kabataan, na ipagpatuloy ang mga adhikain ni Rizal tungo sa pag-asa at positibong pagbabago. Nawa’y magsilbi itong pagkakataon upang balikan ang kanyang mga aral at isabuhay ang mga ito sa pagtataguyod ng isang mas makatarungan, maunlad, at progresibong bansa.

Mabuhay ang diwa ng ating Pambansang Bayani!

𝗣𝗞𝗠 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Pursuant to Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, as amended by Republic Act No. 11768, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of the Municipality of Mauban conducted the Strategic Planning for Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 on June 12, 2026 at the Camp Management Office.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga opisyal ng Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), YORP-accredited youth organizations, at iba’t ibang student organizations mula sa Pambayang Kolehiyo ng Mauban at mga kalapit na paaralan. Layunin ng pagpupulong na i-synchronize ang mga municipal youth initiatives, i-finalize ang official calendar of activities, i-review ang youth fund allocations, at magtalaga ng mga working committees para sa logistics at promotions ng programa.

Pinangunahan ni Ms. Joymee Villamena-Sodusta, Assistant Local Youth Development Officer, ang pagpupulong. Nagsimula ang programa sa panalangin na pinangunahan ni Ms. Daniella E. Latonero.

Nagbigay naman ng mensahe si Mr. Dondi U. Decena, Designated Local Youth Development Officer, Sports Coordinator, at Senior Administrative Assistant III. Binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng aktibong pakikilahok at sama-samang pagtutulungan ng mga kabataan upang matiyak ang isang organisado, makabuluhan, at matagumpay na pagdiriwang ng Linggo ng Kabataan 2026.

Dumalo sa nasabing pagpupulong ang mga sumusunod na kinatawan:

PKM Organizations: The Language Guild (TLG), Student Association on Food Education (SAFE), Agricultural Group of Students (AGROS), Supreme Student Council (SSC), Society of Elementary Educator Students (SEEDS), Mathematics Society (MATHSOC), Ang Simbuhan, Ang Lipi ng mga Mag-aaral sa Araling Panlipunan (Ang Lipunan).

MSEMSAT Organizations: Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) – MSEMSAT Chapter, MOVERS, ELITES, at YES-O.

Other Youth Organizations: Ang Saliwsiw, Aluhin Maliit Youth Organization, at Mauban Youth Leaders Organization (MYLO).

SSLG Representatives: Mother Perpetua Parochial School Inc. (MPPSI), Manuel S. Enverga Memorial School of Arts and Trades (MSEMSAT), Cagsiay I National High School, at Cagbalete I National High School.

Naroon din ang mga kinatawan mula sa Sangguniang Kabataan ng iba’t ibang barangay: Mabato, Daungan, Cagsiay III, Bato, Cagsiay I, San Jose, Alitap, San Miguel, Sadsaran, Baao, Rosario, Lual Barrio, Cagbalete II, at Bagong Bayan.

Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagpaplano at aktibong pakikilahok ng iba’t ibang sektor ng kabataan, inaasahang magiging matagumpay, organisado, at makabuluhan ang pagdiriwang ng Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 para sa lahat ng kabataan ng Mauban.

𝗣𝗞𝗠 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗞𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗶 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻

Naging bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan ang limang miyembro ng PKM Kundayan Dance Krew sa isang pagtatanghal na inorganisa ng Mauban Tourism ngayong araw, Hunyo 12, ganap na alas-5:30 ng umaga.

Bilang pakikiisa sa paggunita sa kasarinlan ng bansa, nagtanghal ang grupo sa harap ng mga dumalo upang magbigay-pugay sa mga bayaning nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

Ayon kay Bernadette Reychel Ildefonso, Executive Head ng PKM Kundayan Dance Krew, malaking karangalan para sa kanila ang mapiling maging bahagi ng programa.

“Masarap sa pakiramdam dahil pinagkatiwalaan kami ng pamahalaang lokal ng Mauban na magtanghal sa Araw ng Kalayaan. Ipinapakita nito ang kanilang tiwala sa aming kakayahan at talento,” sabi ni Ildefonso.

Ibinahagi rin niya na pinaglaanan nila ng oras at masusing paghahanda ang kanilang pagtatanghal. Kabilang dito ang maingat na pagpili ng musikang gagamitin at ang pagbuo ng koreograpiyang maghahatid ng kanilang mensahe.

Para sa grupo, hindi lamang pagpapakita ng talento ang layunin ng kanilang pagtatanghal kundi maging ang pagpapahayag ng pagkakaisa ng mga kabataan sa pagdiriwang ng kalayaang tinatamasa ng bansa sa kasalukuyan.

“Bukod sa naipakita namin ang aming talento, naipakita rin namin ang pagkakaisa sa pagdiriwang ng kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon dahil sa sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani,” dagdag niya.

Nagbigay rin si Ildefonso ng mensahe sa mga kapwa estudyante at manonood na pahalagahan at gamitin nang wasto ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng mga naunang henerasyon.

“Marapat nating ipagpasalamat ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin sa kasalukuyan. Ang kalayaang ipinagkaloob sa atin ay dapat nating pahalagahan at huwag abusuhin,” aniya.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang pagtatanghal, ipinakita ng PKM Kundayan Dance Krew ang kanilang suporta sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan at ang kanilang pagpapahalaga sa kasaysayan, pagkakaisa, at pagkamakabayan bilang mga kabataang Pilipino.

Tuwing sasapit ang Hunyo a-dose,
hindi lamang watawat ang iwinawagayway,
kundi alaala ng dugo at pawis na nagbukas
ng pintuan ng kalayaan.

Ang Kabayanihan,
ay hindi lang nakaukit sa mga monumento,
hindi lang pangalan sa pahina ng kasaysayan.
Ito'y tibok ng puso ng bawat Pilipino
na marunong mag-alay,
marunong magmalasakit,
marunong tumindig para sa kapwa.

Ang Kalayaan,
ay hindi lang rin awit na sabay-sabay na inaawit,
hindi lang pista na taun-taon ginugunita.
Ito'y pagkakaisa sa gitna ng unos,
pag-asa sa gitna ng pangangamba
at paninindigan sa gitna ng pagsubok.

Ngayon, sa bawat hakbang natin,
dalhin natin ang diwa ng kabayanihan.
Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan
ay hindi natatapos sa nakaraan.
Ito'y magpapatuloy hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

‎Every Year on June 8, World Ocean Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of oceans.
‎
‎Oceans provide food, oxygen, and habitats for countless marine species. However, pollution and plastic waste continue to threaten ocean life and ecosystems. Everyone can help keep the oceans clean by reducing the use of single-use plastics and recycling properly.
‎
‎People should also avoid throwing trash into rivers, canals, and beaches, as it can eventually reach the sea. Participating in community cleanups is another effective way to protect marine environments.
‎
‎By practicing responsible waste management, we can help preserve healthy oceans for future generations.

The Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) of Mauban conducted its first Special Meeting on June 6 at the Camp Management Office.

The special meeting was called following the approval of the majority of members present during the council's 2nd Quarterly Meeting held on May 16. The primary agenda was the approval of the 2026 Internal Rules of Procedure (IRP) of the Local Youth Development Council of Mauban, Quezon, alongside discussions on other key matters concerning the Kabataang Maubanin.

Representatives from various youth and student organizations across the municipality attended the meeting. Among the participating organizations from Pambayang Kolehiyo ng Mauban (PKM) were the Samahang Mag-aaral ng Filipino (SAMFIL), Society of Elementary Educator Students (SEEDS), Students Response Unit (SRU), Ang Simbuhan, Math Society (MathSoc), Student Association on Food Education (SAFE), Agricultural Group of Students (AGROS), and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA).

Also present were representatives from Ang Saliwsiw, Mauban Young Leaders Organization (MYLO), Aluhing Maliit Youth Organization, Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) – MSEMSAT Chapter, ELITES-MSEMSAT, and the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) – MSEMSAT

The approval of the 2026 Internal Rules of Procedure marks a significant step forward for youth leadership in the municipality. With a clearer structure and updated guidelines, the LYDC is better equipped to strengthen youth participation, improve coordination among organizations, and champion programs that promote the welfare and future of the Kabataang Maubanin.

As the council continues to work with youth leaders and organizations across Mauban, the meeting highlighted the shared commitment of the municipality's youth to active participation, collaboration, and community development.

Did you know that World Environment Day began in 1972 when the United Nations gathered in Stockholm to address a growing global concern: the damage being done to our planet?

By 1973, the first celebration was held, and since then, every June 5, millions of people around the world have united with one goal: to protect and restore the Earth we call home.

From quiet forests to deep oceans, the environment has always supported life in ways we often take for granted. Yet today, it faces real challenges, including pollution filling our air, waste piling up in our waters, and forests disappearing faster than ever. World Environment Day is not just a reminder but a call to action.

It is a day when small actions become powerful: planting trees that will grow for generations, cleaning streets that once felt forgotten, and choosing habits that reduce harm to nature. Every effort matters because change does not start big; it starts with us.

So let us not just celebrate today; let us take part in the story of healing our planet. Because the environment does not just belong to us, we belong to it.
