𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐌 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐎, 𝐏𝐡.𝐃., 𝐃𝐒𝐂. 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟓 ordered the immediate mobilization of teams. Under the direction of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐀𝐍, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥, Matnog Fire Station under the leadership of SFO2 Raul L Borras II, Officer-in-Charge, rendered help and support at the municipalities affected by the ashfall that happened yesterday 02 May 2026 in the Province of Albay.

Participating in the cleanup, removing ash buildup, and helping clear drainage showed cooperation and concern for the public welfare.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – Matnog Fire Station, under the supervision of 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐋. 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐈, 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫-𝐢𝐧-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞, responded to an ambulance call at Brgy. Caloocan, Matnog, Sorsogon.

A phone call was received from Montenegro Shipping Lines reporting a pregnant passenger experiencing pre-labor symptoms aboard a vessel en route to Matnog Port, Brgy. Caloocan. Upon receiving the call, the responding team immediately proceeded to Matnog Medicare Hospital to request medical assistance from a nurse and then promptly responded to the reported location.

Upon arrival at the scene, FO2 Rose AnnLatosa, an off-duty personnel assigned at Sorsogon City Fire Station who was present in the area, assisted the EMS team together with MDRRMO Matnog . The patient, a 32-year-old female and her one(1) female infant, was assessed and found to have already delivered (post-parturition). An initial assessment was conducted, and the patient’s vital signs were closely monitored and recorded.

The team promptly provided the necessary assistance and safely transported the patient to Matnog Medicare Hospital for further medical care.

This activity is in line with the government’s directive to ensure the proper implementation of mitigation measures aimed at safeguarding the national energy supply amid the ongoing Middle East crisis.
