Digital Literacy Training was conducted among the Student Assistants of the College Library on August 28,2026. They navigated the subscribed online databases e.g. Emerald Gateway and the Philippine Electronic Journals.

The Adventist Accrediting Association(AAA) conducted their full survey on August 17-19,2026 at South Philippine Adventist College Department. It was headed by Dr.Richard Sabuin, Associate Director of Education General Conference together with Dr. Mary Jane Zabat, Director of Education, SSD. Other members of the team are the Education Directors of Local Conferences.
They made a quick library tour and Dr.Leroy Ruhupatty, Asso Director of SSD, the Area In charge for Library and Information Technology made some queries about the services and utilization primarily the electronic resources of the library.

Heads Up S**C Faculty & Students! The acquisition department had purchased updated professional books for the curricular programs of the institution. The learning process will become more relevant and meaningful if the teaching materials are of current value and appropriate for the geographical location. These are written by Filipino authors and the presentations are concise and simple. They are now available for circulation. Check for yourselves these titles.

The kick-off of the Academic Year 2026-2027 was the Presentation of Faculty and Staff to the student community especially the Freshmen and Transferees. held at S**C Gymnasium on July 1,2026.
The orientation lecture series by department followed under the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs e.g. Library, Registrar and Internet Laboratory.

Wednesday Study Time

A Memorandum of Agreement was sealed today between Barangay Kibao, Davao del Sur and South Philippine Adventist College. The administrators, program head corrdinators, barangay officials, student representatives affixed their signatures on the contract to show our sincerity and commitment for the cause. Community services and programs will be initiated in the field of Llivelihood,Mental Health, Spiritual Wellness and Literacy. The library will engage in Information Literacy by providing Book Hub for children's learning materials and other exciting activities that will promote reading.
