Taos pusong nagpapasalamat ang buong pamunuan ng LNHS kay Maam Venus S. Mortera sa kanyang bukas-palad na pamamahagi ng mga bagong set ng school uniform at mga bagong bag para sa 12 piling mag-aaral ng aming paaralan. Itinuturing na ang tulong na ito ay hindi lamang nagbigay ng materyal na pangangailangan, kundi naghatid din ng bagong pag-asa at inspirasyon sa mga kabataan upang mas maging masipag sa kanilang pag-aaral. Isang malaking karangalan na maging bahagi ng kanyang taunang charity work tradition at kasama and kaniyang pamilya at ang iba pang anonymous donors, sa paghahatif ng malaking ngiti at pag-asa sa mga kabataan.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Ma'am Venus na ang tanging hiling niya bilang kapalit ng mga biyayang ito ay ang magsumikap ang mga mag-aaral upang makapagtapos ng pag-aaral. Bagamat itinuturing niya itong isang maliit na hakbang lamang, tiniyak ng pamunuan na ang tulong na ito ay may napakalaking epekto at mag-iiwan ng mahalagang marka sa buhay at kinabukasan ng bawat batang benepisyaryo.

Muli, ang aming lubos na pagkilala at pasasalamat sa kanyang kabutihang-loob, pati na rin sa lahat ng mga sponsors at indibidwal na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na proyektong ito. Nawa'y patuloy kayong pagpalain ng Maykapal upang marami pa kayong kabataan at pamilya na matulungan at mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan.

The Municipal Meet held on August 15, 2026 became more than a day of competition for the student-athletes of Lampayan National High School (LNHS). It was a celebration of determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the strong support of the school and community. Behind every performance was a collective effort. Students trained and competed with courage, coaches devoted their time and expertise, parents extended their support, and community partners helped make the participation of the athletes possible.

Special appreciation goes to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the school for their initiative in providing snacks and transportation support for the participating athletes. The parents who willingly supported their children also deserve recognition for their encouragement and commitment.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all the coaches who dedicated their time and effort to prepare the athletes. Their guidance went beyond sports skills, teaching students the values of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The volleyball teams, under the guidance of Sir Eugene Canay and Ma'am Ivy Rose Pascual, displayed determination throughout the competition. The boys' volleyball team secured 3rd place, while the girls' volleyball team finished 4th.

The takraw team, coached by Ma'am Razel L. Lopez, also showed impressive teamwork and perseverance, earning 3rd place in the competition.

In individual events, Alima and Princess Joy earned 2nd place in shot put, while Calan, Shaniza Jade also secured 2nd-place finishes in their respective events.

In chess, Alyssa Jhienne M. Versola and Angel Kaye S. Maglangit represented LNHS under the guidance of Coach Dionel D. Esteban, with Ma'am Madeline N. Permacio serving as co-coach.

In basketball, it represented by Robert Ryan Labramonte, Lorenz Junnel Londres and Patrick James Varga.

The school community also extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Leslie Bonjoc, Barangay Captain, for the valuable support extended to the athletes, particularly in helping provide transportation for the delegation. Her support demonstrates the important role of community leaders in encouraging young people to participate and excel in sports.

Recognition is likewise given to Ma'am Dianne Hermie B. Pelegros, Sports Coordinator, for her coordination, dedication, and efforts in ensuring that the school's participation in the Municipal Meet was properly supported.
The athletes' achievements were also made possible through the leadership of School Principal Dr. Melvin S. Funa, EdD, whose continued support encourages students and teachers to pursue excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities.

The Municipal Meet may have lasted only a day, but the lessons it offered will remain with the students. Every game played, every event completed, and every medal earned represents hours of preparation, sacrifice, courage, and determination.

More importantly, the event reminded everyone that victory is not measured only by medals and rankings. It is also measured by the friendships formed, the lessons learned, the courage to compete, and the people who stood behind every athlete.
To the student-athletes, coaches, parents, PTA officers, school personnel, school leaders, sports coordinator, and community partners, thank you for making the Municipal Meet a meaningful and memorable experience for LNHS.

Matagumpay na idinaos ng Lampayan National High School (LNHS) ang isang makabuluhang espirituwal na pagtitipon noong Agosto 7, 2026, na naglalayong palalimin ang pananalig ng mga mag-aaral at g**o sa Diyos at magbigay ng inspirasyon sa kanilang pag-aaral at pang-araw-araw na buhay.

Pinangunahan ni 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐒. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐬 ang programa at tinalakay ang paksang 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔. Ibinahagi niya ang kanyang sariling karanasan bago niya nakamit ang tagumpay at binigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng pakikinig sa mabubuting payo, lalo na mula sa mga g**o at higit sa lahat, sa mga magulang.

Sa kanyang pagbabahagi, hinikayat niya ang mga mag-aaral na manatiling determinado sa pag-abot ng kanilang mga pangarap at huwag kalimutang humingi ng gabay sa Diyos sa bawat hakbang ng kanilang buhay. Ang kanyang mga mensahe ay nagsilbing paalala na ang tagumpay ay hindi lamang bunga ng sariling pagsisikap, kundi maaari ring maging bunga ng pananampalataya, disiplina, at tamang paggabay.

Naging masigla rin ang pagtitipon habang inaawit ang mga awiting papuri. Sa bawat mensaheng ibinahagi sa espirituwal na pagtitipon, nag-iwan ito ng makabuluhang aral sa mga nakinig. Naghatid ito ng pag-asa at inspirasyon upang higit pang pagbutihin ng bawat isa ang kanilang pag-aaral, pahalagahan ang payo ng kanilang mga magulang at g**o, at patuloy na manalig sa Diyos.

Sa kabuuan, naging makahulugan at matagumpay ang espirituwal na pagtitipon sa Lampayan National High School. Higit pa sa isang simpleng programa, nagsilbi itong pagkakataon upang mapalalim ang pananalig, mapalakas ang loob, at mahikayat ang mga mag-aaral na harapin ang kanilang mga pangarap nang may tiyaga at determinasyon.

Lampayan National High School (LNHS) conducted its 2nd School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session for School Year 2026–2027 on July 24, 2026, focusing on the Revised Guidelines on Classroom Assessment, Grading System, and Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. The activity aimed to enhance teachers’ knowledge and preparedness in implementing effective, fair, and learner-centered assessment practices.

The session was spearheaded by Ma’am Rhona A. Barbosa, Master Teacher II, as the resource person and facilitator, with the full support of Dr. Melvin S. Funa, School Principal, who continues to promote professional growth and instructional excellence among the teaching force.

The session provided meaningful discussions on updated assessment procedures, grading systems, and the proper implementation of awards and recognition for learners. Sir Curt Russel Camral, SHS Coordinator , also contributed guidance in ensuring that the revised policies are aligned with the requirements and practices of the Senior High School Department.

Through collaborative learning and professional dialogue, LNHS teachers strengthened their understanding of assessment as a tool for improving instruction, recognizing learner achievements, and supporting holistic development.

LNHS Elevates Shared Governance with Successful SGC Reorganization

Lampayan National High School successfully conducted its 1st Organizational and Orientation Meeting of the School Governance Council (SGC) today, July 31, 2026 at the Home Economics Building. School Principal, Dr. Melvin S. Funa led the orientation, detailing the council's legal basis, structural framework, composition, roles, and functions, highlighting the essential role of shared governance between the school administration and its stakeholders. The assembly also featured a presentation by Mr. Curt Russel Camral on the SGC’s key accomplishments, best practices, and resolutions passed during the 2022–2025 cycle, paving the way for the council's next phase of leadership.

During the organizational session, key leadership positions were formally filled through an election. Mr. Aljohn D. Cambarihan, President of the LNHS Alumni Association, was elected as the new SGC Co-Chairperson, alongside Ma’am Rhonalyn A. Barbosa, Faculty Club President, who was elected as Secretary, with Mr. Curt Russel Camral serving as Designated Co-Chairperson. The newly structured SGC for 2026 is composed of 10 voting members, fully adhering to the 7 to 15 member threshold mandated by DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2022. The new set of SGC voting members includes Mr. Elenterio Mondano (Irrigation's Association President), Mr. Paterno Magpangkat (IP Representative), Mr. Edgardo C. Albarico (Purok Federation President), Mr. Francisco Alima (Water Service Association President), Mr. John Rey Gocotano (PWSA, Representative), Mr. Izagani Velonero (PTA President), and Ms. Brennah Rose P. Taghap (Supreme Secondary Learner Government President).

Following the elections, the council immediately transitioned into an action planning session to set the schedule for upcoming regular meetings and map out strategic goals. The discussion focused on what essential resolutions aim to achieve functionality indicators under the shared governance model and establishing effective feedback mechanisms to make sure that the council remains proactive and accountable in addressing immediate priority areas and urgent school needs.

Expressing his commitment to the newly entrusted role, newly elected SGC Co-Chairperson Aljohn D. Cambarihan shared his hopes to fully function and provide his utmost service for the betterment of the institution. School Principal Dr. Melvin S. Funa also reinforced the council's vital role, stating, "This SGC serves as our bridge to shared governance, ensuring that every sector has a voice in shaping the future of our school and our learners."

With a fully organized council and a clear roadmap, LNHS is well-positioned to foster active collaboration, transparent decision-making, and sustainable school improvement for the benefit of its learners.

Lampayan National High School successfully conducted the DepEd School-Based Deworming Program on July 23 for the School Year 2026–2027.

The program was led by the school nurse, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐳𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐁. 𝐔𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐍, who explained why school-based deworming is conducted at least twice a year in schools across the Philippines. These conditions may affect students' concentration and academic performance in class. However, deworming alone is not enough. Nurse Rezel also stressed that intestinal worms can be prevented through proper hygiene practices, such as washing hands regularly and maintaining cleanliness and emphasized that a healthy learner is a better learner.

Overall, school-based deworming is more than simply giving medicine, it is an investment in children's health, education, and future. Indeed, sa LNHS, bawat mag-aaral ay mahalaga, at bawat kalusugan ay prayoridad.

𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍, 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 – Lampayan National High School successfully held its First Religious Convocation for School Year 2026–2027 on July 10 at 7:00 a.m., gathering students, teachers, and school personnel in a meaningful celebration of faith, reflection, and unity.

The convocation was led by Rev. Fr. Giorgio Licini, PIME, who delivered an inspiring reflection on the theme "The Four Types of Seeds," based on the Gospel's Parable of the Sower. He explained the four kinds of soil- the path (dalan), rocky ground (kabatohan), thorny ground (sampinitan), and good soil (maayong yuta)—as symbols of the different ways people receive God's word.

Fr. Licini encouraged everyone to 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘪𝘭,𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘰𝘥'𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩,𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦,𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯,𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦. He emphasized that genuine faith grows through prayer, obedience, and a willingness to live according to God's teachings.

The program opened with a prayer, followed by worship songs that created an atmosphere of reverence and thanksgiving. Students actively participated in the singing and listened attentively to the reflection, demonstrating respect and openness to the message.

As the program concluded, the school community was reminded that faith remains a guiding foundation of Lampayan National High School's mission and vision. Indeed, Lampayan National High School is for the Lord.

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our faculty, our beloved English & Science Teacher, Sir Albert A. Mallorca. A guide and a source of inspiration to countless students whose lives he touched through his wisdom, dedication and unwavering commitment to service and education for three decades. Lampayan NHS community extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him during this difficult time.
