In Honor of Saint Augustine of Hippo 🙏💛

A day filled with faith, unity, and devotion as our community gathered for the Fluvial Procession in honor of our beloved patron saint, Señor San Agustin.

Before the procession began, families, children, youth, and devotees came together at the chapel. From the preparations to the simple moments shared with one another, every moment became part of a beautiful celebration of faith.

To everyone who joined the procession and offered their prayers and intentions, thank you for being part of this special celebration. Your presence truly made the day more memorable. 💛

May Saint Augustine continue to inspire us to grow in faith, serve with love, and remain united as one community.

Last night, August 27, these young hearts from San Agustin Church serves offered their time and talents in the Doxology for the Coronation, as part of the celebration of the Feast of our beloved patron, Señor San Agustin. 💛

A beautiful reminder that serving God is not only about what we do, but also about the heart and faith we share through our service.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, effort, and dedication to make this special moment meaningful. May you continue to serve with joyful hearts and grow in faith together. 🙏✨

In honor of our patron saint,

𝑩𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒐𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉

Today, we celebrate the feast of Saint Augustine of Hippo (354–430), a bishop, theologian, and Doctor of the Church whose life reminds us that no matter how far we wander, God’s grace can always lead us back to Him.

Saint Augustine was born in North Africa to Saint Monica and Patricius. He was blessed with a brilliant mind and pursued his studies with great passion, yet his journey was not always easy. He searched for truth through different teachings and philosophies before eventually finding his way to the Catholic faith.

Through the prayers of his mother, Saint Monica, and the guidance of Saint Ambrose, Augustine was baptized in Milan at the age of 33. He later returned to Africa, became a priest, and eventually served as Bishop of Hippo, dedicating the rest of his life to teaching, serving, and caring for the Church.

His writings, including Confessions, The City of God, and On the Trinity, continue to inspire generations of Christians to seek truth, deepen their faith, and live a life of service.

Saint Augustine teaches us that conversion is a continuous journey—from doubt to faith, from wandering to purpose, and from learning to serving others. His life reminds us to remain humble in our growth, sincere in our search for truth, and generous in serving our community.

“Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in thee.”

On this special feast day, may the example of Saint Augustine inspire us to seek God more deeply, grow in faith, show compassion to others, and serve with love.

Our San Agustin Church Servers spent the evening preparing for the upcoming fiesta through our Doxology practice. From learning the steps to getting every movement in sync, every practice is another opportunity to serve with dedication, teamwork, and joy.

Of course, dili mawawara an tarawahan kag dyutay na kulitan along the way. HAHAHA! 😭😂 But behind every practice is a group of young people who are always willing to show up, learn, and serve.

This is what it means to be Siblings in Unity. 🫶⛪
