LOOK | BAYANIHAN SA PAARALAN
On September 20, 2025, the Supreme Trainee Council (STC) spearheaded Bayanihan sa Paaralan at the school premises of the Masbate Institute of Fisheries and Technology (MIFT).

This initiative, actively participated in by DHROM students, showcased the true spirit of unity and volunteerism as everyone worked hand in hand to keep the school environment clean, organized, and conducive for learning. 🌱🏫

LOOK | 🌊✨ Today, September 20, 2025, the Supreme Trainee Council (STC) proudly took part in the International Coastal Cleanup Drive 2025 at Milagros Boulevard, Poblacion East, Milagros, Masbate.

Together with the MIFT Faculty & Staff and DHROM Students, the STC officers collected various wastes such as wood, plastics, and animal bones. The activity aimed to raise awareness on the importance of coastal protection, instill environmental responsibility, reduce shoreline pollution, and promote teamwork and volunteerism.

Following the cleanup, the spirit of camaraderie was evident as everyone shared a simple yet heartwarming meal of hot lugaw, generously prepared by the STC officers. 🍲✨

LOOK | This September 19, 2025, the DHROM students of the Masbate Institute of Fisheries and Technology (MIFT) actively participated in the STC Automated Election held at the Computer Laboratory. Voting began at 8:38 AM and closed at 3:00 PM, supervised by Sir Argio Palanas III , STC adviser and Ms. Avegirl Albao, Election Support Staff.

Students patiently lined up, verified their voter’s number, and scanned a QR code to access their ballots — making the election process smooth, fair, and transparent. 🗳️

The newly elected STC Officers for AY 2025–2026 were officially proclaimed by Ms. Laura D. Cabug- Vocational School Administrator III during the Flag Retreat ceremony, symbolizing true student leadership and active participation. 👏

The competition heats up and the stakes get higher, the candidates were geared up to dazzle in their formal wear and long gowns. With each outfit carefully chosen to make a statement, the stage was set for a display of elegance, class, and sophistication like never before.

The search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2024 has ignited a competitive spirit among athletes and sports enthusiasts, bringing a new level of excitement to the world of sports. The Sports Wear Competition, a significant part of this prestigious event, showcases the physical prowess of the participants and performs their style and force of personality on the field.

The Swimwear segment of the Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2024 was indeed a showcase of elegance and strength. Each candidate was meticulously judged, not just based on their physique, but also on their charisma and ability to captivate the audience with their presence and movements.

As the candidates walk the runway in their MIFT School Uniform attire, they present themselves and embody the values and spirit of MIFT- a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.

The Search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2024 concluded on December 17, 2024, with a display of talent and style in various categories. The candidates competed in Production number, School Uniform Attire, Swimwear, Sports attire, Formal Attire, Long Gown, and Question and Answer segments, showcasing their versatility and charm.
After a thorough evaluation by the judges, Mr. Jerry Bornales and Ms. Marilyn Borines DHROM1 emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious titles of Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2024. Their performances were outstanding across all categories, demonstrating grace, confidence, and skill that captivated the audience and impressed the panel of judges.
Following closely behind, Earl Lawrence Hilario and Jessabel Borines secured the 1st Runner-up positions with their exceptional presentations and undeniable stage presence. Their dedication and flair in each competition segment were commendable, earning them well-deserved recognition for their talent and efforts.
Rey Aganan and Jobilyn De Guzman also achieved the 2nd Runner-up titles, showcasing their poise and charisma throughout the event. Their performances reflected a blend of elegance and confidence, contributing to the overall success and vibrancy of the competition.

Creative Reuse: A Christmas Village Competition

The Recycled Christmas Village competition is a festive and environmentally conscious event encouraging creativity and resourcefulness. The MIFT DHROM students are challenged to design and construct miniature Christmas villages entirely from recycled materials. This competition fosters a spirit of community, promoting both artistic expression, sustainable practices and promoting TESDA's Green TVET Program.

The judging criteria often include originality, craftsmanship, use of recycled materials, and overall aesthetic appeal. The competition not only showcases the ingenuity of participants but also raises awareness about reducing waste and repurposing materials during the holiday season, transforming discarded items into charming and unique festive displays. Prizes are often awarded to winners in various categories, celebrating the diverse interpretations and skill levels demonstrated.

Ultimately, the competition serves as a fun and engaging way to combine holiday cheer with environmental responsibility.
