Life's been tough. 😮‍💨

I lost clients, didn't have any training, franchised a business, and closed my businesses. How tough can it get?

Well, here I am, and I'm back! 🥳 My first training after more than a year of hiatus was successful. 🎊

The Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) program is a management training program focusing on starting and improving the best ideas for businesses to create more business employment. A program by the International Labour Organization (ILO).

I was joined by 25 micro-entrepreneurs from . The training was held on three Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 💻

It was fun and educational. Good entrepreneur ideas were shared. I was surprised by their creative entrepreneurial thinking. 💡

Are you like me, who almost reached my wit's end? Go back to your goal 🎯 and ponder your purpose in life. It will never be easy, but it'll be worth it.

Fall 🍂, pumpkins 🎃, candies 🍭, witches 🧙‍♀️, it's Halloween season.

Oh! Don't forget those creepy stories. Ghosts! 👻

Have you heard about ghosting?
No, it's not hunting those floating white things or being a ghostbuster.
According to NY Times, Ghosting — is when someone cuts off all communication without explanation. 🔇

Do you know that your client can ghost you too?
Scary. 😱

I hope it won't happen to you, but if in case it happens, here are the three things you can do:

1️⃣ Don't Overthink.
You may ask me, how can I? It's your hard work. Spent so many nights doing your tasks, but high anxiety will cloud your professional thinking. We still don't know yet what happened.

2️⃣ Send a calm message.
As mentioned in number 1, panicking will give you no result.
You can send your client an email asking how to proceed with the project. If your client is on social media, try to reach out. But do not bombard your client with your messages. You can make a follow-up after a week or two.

If there's no answer, it's time to proceed with number three.

3️⃣ Move on.
Lessons are best learned the hard way.
Please still email your client informing him/her that you are ending your services due to his no response.
Take that moment to reassess your policies and results, and brainstorm on what's next.

I have consistently told this to my trainees who want to try the online world. Being a Virtual Assistant is not for everyone. The online job 💻 industry is saturated, so new and old are head-to-head in competition.

If there's one thing I want to say to the beginner VAs, it is to BE A PROFESSIONAL, in any way or form. You need to prepare and learn your tasks.
❌ Do not ask your clients how to accomplish your task because that is your job, especially when you tag yourself as an "expert." Being prepared is being professional.

Let me be proud of my new General Virtual Assistance Course graduates. 🎓

It has been challenging as these trainees were only in my class due to their internship. They didn't plan to become a VA when they were onboarded in my class. It is only for their school requirement.
I hope a little has changed after they graduated from this OJT.

Do you know the most challenging part of becoming a lead trainer?
It's not teaching them the technical stuff because we did have a course outline.
It's not even asking the trainees to do their tasks.

It is keeping them MOTIVATED even though I, as a trainer, am already feeling discouraged and disappointed with the output.
I need to lead. I have to. 🛤️
You'll ask yourself, is it "really" worth it?
Then you'll look back. You'll find the answer.
Passion and purpose. I am here because of these two reasons.

To my graduates and others who will read this, always remember that it is the first step that matters the most. 👣
