1 Corinthians 15:58 —
“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

“Don’t give up on your purpose.”

Sounds motivational.

Until God gives you a purpose
that costs comfort.

Because many people love
“calling.”

But disappear
when obedience gets heavy.

Moses wanted out.

Jeremiah felt exhausted.

Elijah sat under a tree
asking to die.

Even Paul said he was
“pressed beyond measure.”

Yet none of them were told:

“Protect your peace first.”

Scripture never said
purpose would feel easy.

Not in vain.

Even when nobody claps.

Even when progress feels invisible.

Even when obedience feels lonely.

Some people quit
because they expected purpose
to feel exciting all the time.

But purpose is not sustained
by hype.

It is sustained
by conviction.

Culture says:

“If it drains you,
drop it.”

But Jesus said:

“He who endures to the end
shall be saved.”
— Matthew 24:13

Endures.

Not starts strong.

Endures.

There are assignments
you will only finish
if you stop worshipping comfort.

God never promised
constant ease.

He promised
His presence.

“Let us not grow weary
while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap
if we do not lose heart.”
— Galatians 6:9

The enemy does not always need
to destroy your purpose.

Sometimes he only needs
to convince you
to quit too early.

And honestly

some people are praying
for purpose

while abandoning
the one God already gave them.

Small obedience still matters.

Private faithfulness still matters.

Delayed fruit
does not mean abandoned purpose.

The deepest callings
often grow in hidden places.

So before you walk away,
ask yourself:

Did God release you?

Or did your feelings
become louder than His voice?

Because quitting is easy
when purpose stops feeding pride.

The real test is staying faithful
when nobody sees the cost.

The smallest acts of endurance
often reveal
the deepest surrender.
