Kasi nung empleyado ka pa, hindi mo ramdam yung mga invisible support:
fixed na sweldo, HR na sumasalo ng issues, clear na job scope,
at may company na sasalo kapag may sablay.

Pag lumabas ka sa corporate?
Wala na ’yon.

At doon nagkakagulo ang marami.
Akala nila negosyo = freedom.
Pero ang totoo?
Negosyo = full responsibility.

Wala kang boss…
pero ikaw ngayon ang boss na hahawak ng problema ng kliyente,
crew, suppliers, delays, materials, cashflow, documentation —
lahat ng iniwasan mo dati, sayo babagsak.

Kung stressful ang engineering sa corporate,
mas stressful ang pagiging contractor na hindi handa.
Para kang sumabak sa site nang walang PPE — exposed sa lahat ng risk.

discipline, technical judgment, problem-solving, pakikisama —
yan din ang magiging backbone mo pag nagnegosyo ka.

Hindi ka magiging better overnight.

Hindi mo iniiwan ang engineering —
inaangat mo yung sarili mo sa next level nito.

At kung magsisimula ka nang maaga at maayos,
2026 can be the year na magsimula kang lumipad —

It’s okay to say ‘no’ to cheap and stingy clients.

After doing business in Australia for 11 years, I’ve learned this lesson the hard way: the cheapest clients often bring the most stress. They ask a lot of questions, they try to get more than what they paid for, and sometimes they feel entitled as if they invested everything they had. They want to pay the smallest amount possible but still expect a VIP experience.

If you’re new in business, don’t be afraid to say no to clients who don’t value your work. It’s okay to let them go. Instead, focus on clients who truly appreciate your service, your time, and your craft. The truth is, high-value clients are usually easier to work with. They respect the process, they trust your expertise, and they are happy to pay for quality.
