We are beyond proud of our very own Elijah Eliang for representing the University of Santo Tomas at KIDLAT 5.0: Collective Identity and Narratives in Community-Oriented Spaces last May 25, 2026.

​Elijah presented his groundbreaking thesis, "THE COLUMN: Designing a Spatial Zoning Focused Production Space for Freelance Journalism Through an Activity-Based Working Model," developed under the guidance of his adviser, IDr. Mikki L. Shiu. His thesis on activity-based working models for freelance journalism is a perfect example of how interior design can respond to modern community needs.

​Being selected for this national platform by the Council of Interior Design Educators (CIDE) is a testament to his hard work, research, and innovative vision for the future of interior design.
