Today, as the Church celebrates the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, we also remember the onomastico (name feast) of our Founder, Saint John Baptist de La Salle.
Named after the great prophet who prepared the way for the Lord, St. John Baptist de La Salle likewise dedicated his life to preparing hearts and minds to encounter God through the ministry of Christian education. Both saints remind us that our vocation is not to point to ourselves, but to lead others to Christ.
As St. John the Baptist declared, โHe must increase, but I must decreaseโ (Jn 3:30), may we, like De La Salle, live lives of humble service, faith, and zeal for the mission entrusted to us.
Let us pray...
Lord God, through the example of St. John the Baptist and St. John Baptist de La Salle, teach us to be faithful witnesses of Your love. May we have the courage to prepare the way for Christ in the hearts of others through our words, actions, and service. Bless all pilgrims who seek to follow Your will each day. Amen.
St. John the Baptist, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
Live, Jesus, in our hearts, forever!

On May 20, the Lasallian Community celebrated Lasallian University Reflection Day, with the theme โApoy ng Pag-asa: Paningasinโ. This reflection day served as a meaningful reminder to keep the flame of hope alive within our hearts. In moments of uncertainty and challenges, we are called to strengthen our faith, renew our purpose, and continue becoming sources of light and encouragement for others. Hope grows brighter when it is shared, and as a Lasallian community, we are inspired to uplift one another through compassion, unity, and service.
This day of reflection allowed us to pause, reconnect with our values, and appreciate the deeper purpose of our journey as learners and individuals. May we continue to carry the spirit of hope in our words, actions, and relationships, becoming instruments of positivity and change wherever we go. Like a flame that continues to burn despite the darkness, may our hearts remain passionate in serving others and steadfast in believing that brighter days will always come.

On May 15, the Lasallian community joyfully celebrated the Feast of Saint John Baptist De La Salle with hearts filled with gratitude, faith, and inspiration. His life and mission continue to remind us that true education goes beyond classrooms and achievements, it is about forming compassionate individuals who are guided by faith, committed to service, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. Through his unwavering dedication to the young and the less fortunate, Saint John Baptist De La Salle showed us the importance of kindness, humility, and perseverance in serving the community.
As we reflect on this meaningful celebration, may we continue to embody the Lasallian values of faith, zeal for service, and communion in mission in everything that we do. May his example inspire us to become instruments of hope, understanding, and positive change, especially in times when the world greatly needs compassion and unity. Beyond todayโs celebration, may we carry his teachings in our hearts and continue striving to uplift others, lead with integrity, and create a community rooted in care, respect, and purpose.
