Brunches are made of common dishes with a twist. Here is a in -style: finished-off with ➡️ soy sauce, vinegar, minced garlic, pepper corn, bay leaf (laurel) | for the twist, added sweet soy sauce and used apple cider and plum vinegar instead. Happy tummy = happy Sunday!

EGGcellent 18/04/2014

🔹 Toasted Pita Bread and Scrambled Egg with Sardines 🔹

In observance of Good Friday, I came up with this brunch idea - Scrambled Egg with Sardines. Sautéed onions and green bell pepper added more flavor and aroma to the spicy sardines in olive oil. The cracked egg, of course, completed the dish; and voila, ready to serve!

Sweets for My Sweet 01/10/2013

🔹 Churros con Chocolate 🔹

My daughter has loved churros since the day I ordered them for dessert at a Spanish restaurant. She'd been urging me to do it at home and when she couldn't wait no longer, she did it herself.

After she put the dough into the piping bag, I assisted her in frying the churros. While she sprinkled sugar to the churros and arranged them on a platter, I melted chocolate (with a dash of Baileys Irish Cream) for a perfect complement.

A not-so-ordinary snack on a not-so-ordinary bonding day!

Enjoy the movies with these Popcorn Cakepops! Indulge your sweet tooth with these chocolaty treats!

I made the cakepops for Jan's sleepover party. I baked brownies as base and formed the "popped corn" with chocolate chips. I bet the kids loved 'em!

Rice All You Can 20/07/2013

♦ Pancetta Risotto ♦

I'd been wanting to make a risotto dish for months and wondering when would I have the mood for it. Today is the day.

With flavorful pancetta, I needed not use broth. Though I added a splash of full cream milk to the wine infused water to cook my risotto and enriched further with Parmesan.

Here's my first risotto dish - Pancetta Risotto!

Fish & Seafood 15/07/2013

♦ Sutchi & Shichimi ♦

Tired of the usual Fish&Chips? Try 'em grilled! Spice the sutchi fillets and potato wedges up by sprinkling shichimi. Grill and serve with honey mustard mayo dip.

♦ Spaghetti Carbonara ♦

Eggless Carbonara. Instead, it's a mixture of cream, cream of mushroom and lots of cheese! Parmesan wouldn't have been my first choice but that's the only thing I have, so... With the cubetti di pancetta I initially bought for some other dish, voilà, carbonara!
