Zafra, Center for University Extension Services (CUES) Director, for representing the University as a Paper Presenter at the 9th International Conference on Asian and Philippine Studies (ICAPS), held in Cagayan de Oro City on May 28–30, 2026.

Prof. Zafra presented her research entitled:
“From Liability to Pliability: Pangangayaw in the Seas and the Case of Filipina Seafarers in the Post-Pandemic Period”

Her scholarly work highlights critical issues affecting Filipina seafarers and contributes to the growing body of knowledge on maritime labor, gender studies, and post-pandemic realities.
