Aj Raval became emotional as she opened up on Toni Talks about the quiet struggles she and her child went through during the time when they were not yet “out” to the public.
She shared how difficult it was to live under constant caution wanting a normal, free life for her children, yet being forced to stay guarded because of people who would show up uninvited, hoping to secretly take photos of them. Simple joys like going out as a family, celebrating birthdays in a big way, or even just being fully present in her child’s school activities became complicated by fear of exposure and judgment.
Aj admitted that what hurt her the most was seeing how her situation affected her child. At home, her child freely called her “Mommy Bats,” but once they stepped outside, the name automatically changed to “Ate Bats,” a painful reminder that they had to hide their truth from the world. For Aj, that small detail carried a heavy emotional weight it symbolized the limits placed on their love and their family dynamic.
Now, she shared with relief and pride that she has finally talked to her child, reassuring them that it’s okay to call her “Mommy” anywhere, anytime. For Aj, this moment represents more than just a name it’s about reclaiming freedom, authenticity, and the right to live openly as a family without fear.
“Gusto naming maging malaya.
