We are a group of first-year anesthesiology residents—coming from different schools, different experiences, and different personalities. Some of us just graduated, others took a longer path, but now we all share the same role in the operating room.
In the OR, we are used to staying in the background. While the surgery takes center stage, we are quietly focused—watching monitors, managing anesthesia, securing airways, and making sure everything runs smoothly. We work with precision, patience, and constant vigilance, often unnoticed but always essential to patient care. We are not usually the ones in the spotlight.
In fact, many of us prefer it that way. We find comfort in routine, in silence, and in the steady rhythm of our work behind the scenes. But tonight, we’re changing roles. From the background, we step into the spotlight.
This is something new for us, and definitely outside our comfort zones. But just like in our daily work, we rely on teamwork, timing, and coordination.
So for tonight, we trade monitors for music and routines for rhythm—as we show a lighter side of ourselves, have a little fun, and remind everyone that beyond the OR, we are human too.

The UP-PGH Department of Pediatrics stands as a leading institution in child health care, education, and research in the country. With a deep commitment to compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based practice, the department serves thousands of Filipino children each year—many from the most vulnerable sectors of society.
Its work extends beyond hospital walls. By training future pediatricians, advancing research, and strengthening community partnerships, the department helps shape a healthier future for generations to come. Every ward round, every consultation, and every breakthrough reflects a shared purpose: to protect childhood in all its fragility and promise.
In every child cared for lies a future safeguarded—and in that future, the true measure of the department’s enduring impact.

UP Agape Christian Fellowship is a family of medical students bonded together by a common passion of knowing and sharing God's love through His Son Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. We yearn to do this by obeying Him and serving others as Jesus did. As Christian medical students, we believe that this light is Jesus Christ—the Light of the World—who enters our doubts, restores o‹ur strengths, and reminds us why we began. Please welcome to the stage, the UP Agape, as they bring us a Spotlight that never runs out.

Underneath the blinding spotlight, human connection may feel like a fickle, unreachable thing. But UPCM 2030 dares to prove that wrong. As they perform spectacles upon spectacles that delicately balance grandeur, vulnerability, and togetherness, may their performance be a reminder of the passion and love that life can give you, if you allow it to.
And, most importantly, to us in the medical field, let this performance reflect our work and the care we give our patients; that is, a care full of life, love, and intention.
Without further ado, welcome to the greatest show.

SYMPHONY OF THE ENSEMBLE
TRP 52 Chorale Competition
In the sea of colored lights and velvet waves, the stage gathers us once more, drawing us in by the allure of the symphony and the echoes of ovation. As the curtains rise and lights beam down, voices begin to echo, blending into a synergistic, harmonic, and grand sound. This year’s chorale competition celebrates the collective— the spirit of people standing as one, in concert, harmony, and empathy.
“Symphony of the Ensemble” reminds us of the orchestra of people who come from different backgrounds and carry unique sounds, stories, and struggles. From the magical harmonies of UPCM Classes 2030, 2029, and 2028 to the breathtaking brilliance of the UP MedChoir, every note commanded a standing ovation, turning a night of competition into a timeless, resounding triumph.

Healing through music has been the guiding compass of UP MedChoir in every performance it undertakes. In an effort to stay true to this principle, the choir has held benefit concerts, ward carols, and Valentine serenades for the patients of the Philippine General Hospital, cognizant of the inexplicable but visceral power of music to free the mind, touch the heart, and heal the soul.
Witness the UP Medicine Choir as they command the center stage, following their tribute to last year's winning batch with a powerful and evocative rendition of "Bahay" by Gary Granada.

As the official choir of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, the UP Medicine Choir, better known as UP MedChoir, has performed in various college and university functions, as well as hospital conferences, for over 35 years. Beyond the walls of the campus, UP MedChoir has joined a number of choral festivals, most recently the 19th and 20th Coro Cantabile Et Al, and local and international competitions, most notably the 5th Florence International Choir Festival, in which the choir won first place in the Mixed Choir Category, and the 7th Bali International Choir Festival, in which four gold medals were brought home.
Keeping tradition alive, the choir graces the stage once again with a performance of last year's winning piece: UPCM Class of 2029's Kaugmaon.
