I never expected to discover a dam in my bike ride today. But I long suspected from studying Google Maps imagery that there is a dam behind the security barracks along Vermosa Boulevard near Promenade Avenue. My suspicions were confirmed right today!

It took a while to muster the courage to walk the empty lot behind the security barracks for fear of the security guards, but they didn't do a thing. I heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing this small dam hidden behind the perimeter fence. I am calling this dam the Hidden Dam from the time being until I establish the name. It's not an irrigation dam though, it looks more like an overflow dam used as a narrow pathway to cross the stream within this property.

Back after four months!

Cliff Richards is still dependable but might need a new RD eventually.

Revisited one of my go-to dams today: Baluctot Dam in Salawag, Dasmariñas.

I make it a habit to check the condition of these Spanish era irrigation dams. There are days it's in good condition, but today there's just plenty of trash. The LGU here should deploy its river clearing team to collect the trash here.
