alpha yang is the musical project of 26-year-old Chinese-Filipino producer, singer-songwriter, and performer, Jacob Yulo. Born and raised in Manila, the project was forged out of necessity. When Jacob couldn't find luck joining a band in high school, he decided to create alpha yang as a solo outlet to share the songs he had written in his bedroom. Since then, he has expanded far beyond the bedroom, releasing multiple independent albums and accumulating production and songwriting credits under his belt.

FUN FACTS:
▪️ I just released my new album, "Detours," on October 03, 2025. It was all written, produced, and engineered in my bedroom.
▪️ I recently performed in Jakarta for Lalala Fest 2025. Headliners include Camila Cabello, LANY, yung kai, and more.
▪️ My current hobby is Beyblade. I join tournaments and interact with the growing Beyblade community here in the Philippines.
▪️ My first instrument is the ukulele.
▪️ I graduated from college with a Psychology degree.
