Filipinos are often described as forgiving, a trait that shapes how people respond to mistakes. This cultural tendency can influence perceptions of accountability especially in politics and governance, where errors may be acknowledged with apologies and then seemingly repeated, creating a vicious cycle. While forgiveness is valuable, it is important to insist on clear accountability, if a mistake is made, there should be appropriate consequences, It should not stop at "I'm sorry."
