𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗕𝗖𝗣-𝗘𝗖𝗠𝗜

Following his attendance at the CBCP-ECMI 15th TOSDOSA Awards, Dante Francis Ang II, Secretary of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), called for a meeting on April 22, 2026, at the CFO Office to discuss potential areas of partnership with the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People.

In a letter addressed to the ECMI Luzon Coordinator, the meeting aimed to explore areas for collaboration and strengthen ties between the two institutions. The discussion concluded with a positive outcome, opening opportunities for future joint initiatives and cooperation.

𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗭𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬’𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗦𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗

The Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School (ELJCMASHS) made history at the 15th Gawad Anak OFW – TOSDOSA Awards as the first school from Quezon City to participate—and the first public high school to enter the TOSDOSA Award circle—with two entries placing in the Top 10.

Waynerythe U. Salcedo, a Grade 12 Anak OFW student, secured Top 2, while Faith Elaizah B. Avila, also a Grade 12 Anak OFW student of ELJCMASHS, placed Top 5. Both are among the 2026 Ten Outstanding Sons and Daughters of OFW Student Achievers Awards (TOSDOSA Awards) honorees under the High School Level.

The awarding ceremony was held on April 10, 2026 at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The Diocese of Cubao Migrant Ministry, under whose jurisdiction the school belongs, also presented a token of recognition, in addition to the awards given by the TOSDOSA sponsors. Mr. Joe Louie Lavaro served as coach and adviser of the two awardees.

In the special closing production featuring the finalists and awardees, Waynerythe Salcedo led the group in preparing and performing their presentation titled A Million Dreams, showcasing the talent and unity of the honorees.

𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞-𝗧𝗢-𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝟭𝟱𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗢𝗦𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦

History was made by the Angeles University Foundation Integrated School (AUF-IS) as it secured a remarkable back-to-back victory in the prestigious Gawad Anak OFW at the 15th TOSDOSA Awards.

Representing the Archdiocesan Commission for Migrants and Itinerant People in Pampanga (ACMIPP), Safronny Angel Margarette Biding once again brought pride to AUF-IS by topping the 2026 TOSDOSA Awards. She also served as Batch President, reflecting her leadership and commitment beyond academic excellence.

This milestone follows their 2025 victory, when Daniella Galang—who also served as Batch President—emerged as the top awardee, making AUF-IS a back-to-back champion in the TOSDOSA Awards.

This achievement highlights the strong foundation and continuing impact of the Sons and Daughters of OFW Formation Program (SDOFP), forming globally competitive, values-driven, and resilient children of OFWs.

𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗦𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦

The CBCP-ECMI extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), particularly to its Chairperson and Secretary, Dante Francis M. Ang II, for gracing the 15th Gawad Anak OFW – TOSDOSA Awards held on April 10, 2026 at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila.

The CFO has been a steadfast partner and consistent supporter of the TOSDOSA Awards, serving as one of its regular sponsors through the years. Its continued commitment plays a vital role in recognizing and empowering the sons and daughters of Overseas Filipino Workers, inspiring them to strive for excellence and become agents of positive change in society.

𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟𝗦 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗘

With the outstanding performance of their student entries in the TOSDOSA Awards during the 15th Gawad Anak OFW held last April 10, two schools from Batangas have earned a place in the Hall of Fame. De La Salle Lipa Integrated School is represented by Ashley Beth C. Brucal, who secured a Top 3 finish, while Sta. Teresa College of Bauan is represented by Edrick Verrill C. Herrera, who placed Top 8.

Through these achievements, both schools will be officially elevated to the Hall of Fame and will receive formal recognition during the 16th Gawad Anak OFW in 2027.

The CBCP-ECMI once again extends its heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the Blue Nightingales of Our Lady of Peace School (OLPS) of Antipolo City for their captivating presentation during the 15th Gawad Anak OFW Awarding Ceremony on April 10 at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Intramuros, Manila. Having graced the event for the second time as performers, they continue to embody excellence, dedication, and a deep passion as performing artists.

The hall of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) became a venue of inspiration during the awarding ceremony of the 15th Gawad Anak OFW held last April 10, as two distinguished TOSDOSA Awards alumni shared their powerful messages with the participants.

It was truly a memorable moment as members of the pioneering batches returned to affirm the significance of the Gawad Anak OFW in shaping their journeys and inspiring future generations.

The CBCP Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People extends its deepest gratitude to the following alumni:

• 𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗬𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡 – Batch 1 President and finalist during the inaugural TOSDOSA Awards in 2008. He is currently a Senior High School teacher at Our Lady of Caysasay Academy (OLCA) and has served in various leadership roles, including as Past President of JCI Batangas Balisong. He is also an award-winning independent film director.

• 𝗗𝗥. 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗥. – Batch 2 finalist and Top 2 awardee of the TOSDOSA Awards in 2009, representing Holy Family Academy of Angeles, Pampanga. He is now a neurologist and currently practices at the OFW Hospital in Pampanga.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠

The 15th Gawad Anak OFW successfully conducted its learning session alongside the ongoing final interviews of the finalists, held at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in Intramuros on the morning of April 10.

During this time, the finalists’ delegations had the opportunity to listen to insightful presentations from partner agencies such as PAG-IBIG, KCFAPI, MTRCB, and BDO. These sessions provided valuable knowledge and meaningful engagement, further enriching the overall experience of the participants.
