đ¨ YOUR CHILD DOES NOT NEED TO BE âMISSINGâ TO BE TRAFFICKED đ¨
One of the biggest misconceptions parents have is believing child exploitation only happens through kidnappings by strangers.
The reality in 2026 is far different.
Children are now being groomed, manipulated, exploited and trafficked directly from their own bedrooms through phones, gaming platforms, social media and livestreaming apps.
Predators no longer need physical access first. They build trust online.
A child can be:
⢠Blackmailed through n**e images
⢠Groomed through Roblox, Discord, Snapchat or TikTok
⢠Coerced into livestreamed abuse for money
⢠Recruited by another child already being exploited
⢠Targeted through fake friendships, gaming chats or âmodel opportunitiesâ
Global law enforcement agencies continue warning that online child sexual exploitation and sextortion cases are exploding worldwide. Many victims are between 11â15 years old. Some are even younger.
đ¨ WARNING SIGNS PARENTS SHOULD NEVER IGNORE:
⢠Sudden secrecy with devices
⢠Panic when notifications appear
⢠Multiple hidden accounts/apps
⢠Older online âfriendsâ
⢠Money or gifts appearing unexpectedly
⢠Withdrawal, anxiety or aggression
⢠S*xual language beyond their age
⢠Staying awake all night online
⢠Refusing parents access to devices
Most offenders are not âcreepy strangers in dark alleys.â
They are patient manipulators who know exactly how to target vulnerable children emotionally.
đ THE TWO POINT RULE:
1. Donât accept friend requests from people you do not know in real life.
2. Never privately chat with people you do not know.
Simple rules prevent countless grooming situations before they begin.
Parents must stop believing:
âMy child would never do that.â
âMy child tells me everything.â
âIt could never happen to us.â
Predators rely on those exact beliefs.
Education, communication and supervision are now essential parts of parenting in the digital world.
One uncomfortable conversation today may save your child tomorrow.
Our very popular BE BRAVE child safety workshop has already helped educate and protect thousands of children across multiple countries about online predators, grooming, exploitation and personal safety. Thanks to our incredible donors, these life-saving workshops remain completely free for schools and communities in high-risk environments.
Project Rescue Children is a volunteer-driven not-for-profit organisation working internationally alongside law enforcement and communities to fight child exploitation, trafficking and online abuse.
If you believe in protecting children and exposing predators, please consider becoming a monthly donor and joining our international community standing on the frontlines against those who target children.
Even small monthly support helps us continue awareness programs, investigations, rescues and education worldwide.
Together we can make it harder for predators to hide.

Shocking new government data shows that teenage pregnancies in Kenya are rising sharply, and the youngest girls are bearing the heaviest burden. The Kenya Economic Survey 2026 reports that teenage pregnancies increased from 224,333 in 2024 to 235,938 in 2025. And these are only the reported pregnancies. As PRC know many cases in rural communities where teen pregnancies are rife are not reported.
Among girls aged 10 to 14, the rise was even steeper, up 14.6 per cent, with 11,605 cases recorded in 2025 compared to 11,126 the previous year. In 2023, the figure stood at 10,670, itself a drop from 13,034 in 2022.
For years, Project Rescue Childrenďżź has worked directly with teenage girls in rural communities through grassroots education programs focused on safety, health, dignity, and prevention. Many of these young girls face extreme poverty, limited education, and increased vulnerability to sexual exploitation, trafficking, r**e, and teenage pregnancy. Through our awareness training, we have educated hundreds of girls on personal safety, body boundaries, reproductive health, and practical ways to reduce risks within their communities while giving them the confidence to speak up and seek help when needed.
A major part of our outreach has also included education on menstrual hygiene and period pad care, including teaching girls how to safely make reusable sanitary pads when access to products is limited or unaffordable. In many vulnerable communities, lack of basic menstrual support contributes to school absenteeism, exploitation, and abuse risks. By combining safety education with practical life skills, Project Rescue Children through our volunteers and donors continue helping empower young girls to stay in school, protect themselves from abuse, and build safer futures for themselves and their communities.

For years, children across Uganda have faced the brutal realities of trafficking, exploitation, abuse, neglect and violence. But together, lives are being changed.
Project Rescue Children and Cherished Childrenâs Foundation are proud to stand alongside Ugandan law enforcement, government agencies, community leaders and frontline child protection workers who continue to take real action to protect vulnerable children.
Through joint efforts across schools, villages and communities, we have seen successful child rescue operations, trafficking interventions, exploitation cases disrupted, offenders arrested and charged, and vulnerable children connected with safety and support services. At the same time, thousands of children, parents and community members have received critical education on child safety, online exploitation, grooming, trafficking risks and abuse prevention.
This work is not social media awareness for clicks. It is frontline child protection work carried out in real communities with real children at risk.
We especially thank the Ugandan authorities and law enforcement agencies for their proactive policing efforts, commitment and courage in tackling crimes against children. Protecting children requires action, collaboration and people willing to step forward before tragedy happens â and Uganda continues to show strong leadership in that fight.
To every officer, social worker, volunteer, educator and community member standing up for children: thank you. Your actions are saving lives and protecting futures.
The fight against child trafficking and exploitation is far from over, but together we continue moving forward â one child, one rescue, one community at a time.
If you believe in the work we do supporting investigations, raising awareness, and protecting children worldwide, please share this message and consider supporting our not-for-profit so our volunteers can continue this vital work:

đ¨Breaking:
âAUSTRALIAN PA******LE NETWORK OF 700 OFFENDERS USING A INTERNATIONAL CLOUD BASED STORAGE PLATFORM TO ACCESS AND SHARE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL. ITâS THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF CSAM SEIZED IN NSW HISTORY.â
Repost NSW Police Force
S*x Crimes Squad detectives have made their 62nd and final arrest under Strike Force Glandore, an investigation which has seen the largest amount of child abuse material seized in NSW investigative history.
Strike Force Glandore was established in 2023 by State Crime Commandâs S*x Crimes Squad Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) to investigate the online distribution, supply and access of child abuse material.
With the final alleged offender now charged, detectives can reveal that the investigation began after police uncovered an Australian network of more than 700 alleged offenders using an international cloud-based storage platform to access and share child abuse material.
Following assistance from the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE), 62 of those offenders were found to reside in NSW.
Since 2023, detectives have arrested all 62 identified, including 61 men and one woman, laid nearly 400 charges, and identified and safeguarded 20 child victims.
The investigation concluded with the arrest of a man in Corrimal yesterday (Thursday 7 May 2026).
About 5am, strike force detectives â with assistance from the Public Order & Riot Squad and South Coast Police District â executed a search warrant in Nowra.
At the warrant, police located and seized a number of electronic devices allegedly containing large amounts of child abuse material.
Detectives then subsequently arrested a man following a vehicle stop in Corrimal.
The 37-year-old was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with 21 offences, including five counts of possess etc child abuse data-use carriage service, 13 counts of use carriage service make available child abuse, two counts of use carriage service-solicit child abuse material and one count of possess child abuse material.
He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Local Court 3 today (Friday 8 May 2026).
Detective Acting Superintendent Adam Powderly, Commander of State Crime Commandâs S*x Crimes Squad, said Strike Force Glandore represents one of the largest arrest totals ever achieved under a single CEIU operation.
âEvery image shared, every file accessed, represents a real child who has been harmed. Todayâs final arrest closes one of the biggest CEIU strike forces to date and has made a significant dent in the number of pa******les operating in NSW, disrupting a key part of Australiaâs online child abuse network.
âOffenders often think they can hide behind technology â but they canât. The ongoing cooperation with NSWPF by this specific cloud-based application greatly contributed to the investigation and prosecution of these offenders,â Det A/Supt Powderly said.
âStrike Force Glandore may be finished, but our work is not. We will continue targeting offenders who hide behind screens and usernames in every corner of this state. The NSW Police Force remains committed to protecting children from online predators.â
Anyone with information that may assist investigations into the distribution of child abuse material is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000

S*xtortion is exploding globally â and law enforcement agencies are warning it has become one of the fastest growing online crimes in 2025.
Every day, teenagers are being blackmailed online after sharing a photo, video, or private conversation with someone they believed was their age.
Within minutes the threats begin:
âSend more.â
âPay money.â
âIf you block me, Iâll send this to your family, school and friends.â
This crime is linked to a growing number of teen suicides worldwide. Many victims are boys aged 12â17 targeted through Instagram, Snapchat, gaming platforms and fake social media profiles pretending to be teenagers.
The reality is brutal. Many offenders operate in organised international criminal groups targeting hundreds of children at once. These crimes are difficult to police, difficult to prosecute and often impossible to stop once images are shared.
That means prevention starts at home.
đŠ WARNING SIGNS PARENTS SHOULD WATCH FOR:
⢠Sudden panic after using their phone
⢠Deleting social media accounts overnight
⢠Anxiety, anger or withdrawal
⢠Fear when notifications arrive
⢠Asking for money unexpectedly
⢠Refusing school or isolating themselves
⢠Emotional breakdowns after being online
âď¸ SAFETY STEPS FOR PARENTS:
⢠Teach children NEVER to send intimate photos or videos online
⢠Explain fake profiles are everywhere
⢠Keep communication open without judgement
⢠Tell them they can come to you immediately if something happens
⢠Monitor who they communicate with online
⢠Teach them to block, report and screenshot threats
⢠Remind them: âYou are NOT in trouble. We will handle this together.â
Parents must understand this is no longer âstranger danger.â
Predators and organised criminal networks now have direct digital access to children inside bedrooms, homes, games and social media apps 24/7.
If we do not educate, we cannot protect.

âI thought she was my friend. She listened to me when nobody else did. She made me feel safe, important⌠wanted. Then little by little my life stopped being mine. They controlled where I went, who I spoke to, what I did and who I was forced to be with. I was terrified all the time. I felt trapped, ashamed and completely alone. There were nights I honestly believed nobody would ever find me or care enough to look.â
âPeople think trafficking only happens through kidnappings by strangers. Thatâs not true. Sometimes it starts with someone you trust. Thatâs how they got me. I lost my freedom, my childhood and almost my hope. Then Project Rescue Children and police found me. I still carry what happened to me every day, but at least now I can breathe without fear. At least now Iâm free.â

Know who your children are chatting to online. Itâs your responsibility to stop Susan.
Your daughter is well behaved, does her school work and is never in trouble. A child parents dream of having.
âSusan and your daughter just made plans to meet in the park while your daughter has told you sheâs going to a friendâs houseâ.
Plans that will change yours and your familyâs lives forever. The POWER AND MANIPULATING CHILD PREDATOR.
Right now, thousands of predators are inside kidsâ games pretending to be children â and most parents truly have no idea whatâs happening, or the sheer scale of this tsunami of online grooming and child exploitation.
This isnât âstranger dangerâ anymore. This is direct digital access to your child, 24/7. IN YOUR HOUSE!
Hereâs how it actually works. Your child is playing games like Roblox or Fortnite. They meet another âkid.â They chat. They play together. Trust builds fast. It feels harmless. It looks normal. The fake profile looks real.
Then the conversation moves.
Off the game and onto private apps like Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram or Kik â where there is little to no parental visibility. Thatâs where predators isolate children and take control. Forming friendships and romantic relationships.
The tone shifts. The requests start small. Then they escalate â secrets, images, manipulation, pressure, threats. This is grooming, and it is deliberate.
And in many cases, it doesnât stay online.
Predators begin setting up in-person meetings. Thatâs where sexual abuse, r**e, and in some cases even murder become the outcome. This is not fear-mongering â itâs reality. Cases like Carly Ryan prove exactly how quickly online grooming using fake accounts can turn into real-world tragedy.
In cases we are working right now, it also escalates into organised online sexual exploitation, where children are manipulated into producing content or are abused for paying offenders watching from around the world.
This is not rare. This is not exaggerated. This is a global child safety crisis happening in real time, and most parents are completely unaware of how fast it happens or how deep it goes.
The hardest truth? Your child might not tell you. By the time you notice something is wrong, they may already be scared, ashamed, or being threatened into silence.
So stop assuming your child is safe because they are âjust gaming.â Start treating online safety like real-world safety.
Check every app on their device. If you see private messaging platforms, LOOK, ask questions and donât accept vague answers. Donât allow private chats with people they donât know in real life. Keep devices out of bedrooms at night. Make it clear there are no secrets online. REMEMBER YOU ARE THE PARENT. YOUR RULES!
Thereâs a lot of advice out on social media. But honestly, all your child needs to know and âfollowâ are these 2 basic tips and youâll eliminate the vast majority of online danger from predators. Donât get too technical. Stay basic.
đ¨ Donât accept friend requests from people you donât knowâźď¸
đ¨ Never chat to anyone you donât knowâźď¸
Predators donât break in through your front door.
They walk in through your childâs screen.

Most people will scroll past this and think itâs some kind of myth or old cultural story.
Itâs not.
A young girl in Uganda was murdered in what police suspect is a case of child sacrifice. A suspected witch doctor has been arrested. A child is dead. And outside of local headlines, barely anyone is paying attention.
This is the reality.
Child sacrifice is real. Itâs not rare, itâs not exaggerated, and itâs not something from the past. It is still happening â right now.
As our founder has said through direct work on the ground:
âChild sacrifice is real. Weâve seen it firsthand, weâve investigated cases, and we continue working with law enforcement to try and stop it.â
And in response to this case media reported:
âSuch primitive acts undermine the freedom of children, and we call upon police to speed up investigations and apprehend the culprits.â â Mr Adam Whittington
What most people donât see is how often this actually happens.
Project Rescue Children and our amazing partner Cherished Childrenâs Foundation Uganda has worked â and continues to work â on numerous cases of suspected child sacrifice alongside law enforcement agencies in Uganda and surrounding countries. These arenât one-off incidents. There are patterns. There are networks. And there are children being targeted because they are the most vulnerable.
Some cases never get reported.
Some are hidden behind fear and silence.
Some never reach proper investigation due to lack of resources.
Children are targeted because they can be controlled. Because in these belief systems they are seen as âvaluable.â
This isnât culture. Itâs not tradition. Itâs the abuse and barbaric murder of children.
No child should be born into a world where this is even a possibility.

Hunting pa******les since 2017.
Most parents think it wonât happen to their kid, but predators are already in the games theyâre playing, starting with something as simple as ânice playâ before building trust and moving them to private apps like Telegram, WhatsApp or Discord where thereâs less visibility and more control.
1 in 5 kids are approached by a stranger online, grooming cases are rising globally, millions of child abuse images are being shared every year, and in most abuse cases the child already knows or trusts the offender.
At any given time, the FBI estimates there are over 500,000 online predators active on the internet targeting children.
This is calculated, not random, and by the time most parents realise, itâs already too late.
Know who your child is talking to, watch for platform changes, and donât ignore red flags.
We are a fully not-for-profit organisation operating across multiple countries, working on the frontlines against predators while supporting and collaborating with law enforcement agencies globally.

Only in countries like Australia and the UK would such a danger to children in the community be given bail.
A self-described 'investigative journalist' accused of playing a leading role in a global satanic child abuse ring has been granted bail.
Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta-Mills, 27, was the alleged ringleader of a Sydney-based pa******le network that traded shocking child abuse material.
Germanotta-Mills has been remanded in custody since his arrest in November with police alleging members of the ring shared thousands of 'abhorrent' images and videos depicting babies up to children aged up to 12.
He was charged with child abuse offences including seven counts of using a carriage service to make child abuse, using a carriage service to access child abuse material, and three counts of possessing child abuse material using a carriage service.
Further charges include two counts of disseminating be******ty material and possessing be******ty material.
While appearing before the NSW Supreme Court on Tuesday via video link from the South Coast Correctional Centre, Germanotta-Mills applied to be released on bail to live with his mother in the regional NSW town of Wellington.
Despite prosecutors expressing concerns about his release, Justice Belinda Rigg granted Germanotta-Mills bail, saying the risks could be managed.
Germanotta-Mills will be subject to several bail conditions including home detention (with no child visitors), daily police reporting, drug and alcohol abstention, not contacting witnesses, and a total phone and internet ban.
He was also ordered to surrender his passport.
Germanotta-Mills founded the Underground Media Network - an outlet described as an 'independent Australian investigative journalism platform committed to exposing institutional failures and the misuse of power'.
According to the Underground Media Network's website, the outlet investigates issues including police corruption and child protection.
Three other men were also arrested at a unit block in Malabar in November and charged over their alleged involvement in the pa******le network.
Germanotta-Mills and his co-accused have not yet entered pleas.
His matter will return to Wellington Local Court on May 27.

I need to post this because pa******les and their supporters drive me nuts.
What young survivors of CSA face in court or investigation proceedings is something most people will never see up close. It takes everything to speak outâfear, shame, pressure, threatsâand still they step forward. Then the system they trust to protect them turns into a battlefield. Not forgetting countless police officers handling the situation and victim atrociously. And they (law enforcement) wonder why so many CSA cases are never reported!!
In criminal trials, defence lawyers are legally bound to test the prosecution case. That means pulling apart timelines, challenging memory, highlighting inconsistencies, and pushing the standard of beyond reasonable doubt to its limit. Itâs lawful. Itâs strategic. And itâs often ruthless.
But hereâs the reality for a young survivor of CSA: that process can feel like being put on trial. Credibility gets attacked. Trauma gets reframed as unreliability. Normal reactionsâdelay in reporting, words, confusion, fearâare twisted into âdoubt.â Meanwhile, the defence builds a narrative that paints their pa******le client in the best possible light while making the victim look unreliable. Thatâs how the system worksâbut it comes at a cost.
And when a case doesnât end in a conviction, too often the next phase begins. The offenderâs supporters go on the attackâtargeting the survivor, their family, and anyone who spoke up. Smear campaigns. Intimidation. Threats. Online abuse. All designed to silence and rewrite the truth.
Iâm sick to death of seeing or hearing it. Sick of predators walking out of court on technicalities and then watching their victims get torn apart for having the courage to speak. Thatâs not justiceâthatâs a system predators and lawyers learn how to game. A pa******leâs classic and cowardly tacticâŚ. âdiscredit the child they sexually abused or dapedâ.
And to the pa******les, and their coward supporters who think threats, pressure, smear campaigns, rogue journalists or legal tactics will silence people speaking outâsave it. That might work on some. It wonât work on everyone and definitely not me.
So remember, a verdict is a legal outcome, not a measure of what a survivor lived through. Their courage matters. Their voice matters.
Stand with real survivors. Protect them. Donât let them be silenced by cowardly people.
