👋 Meet Our Intern: Miguel Kalaw

On his first week at Springboard, he showed up early with a notebook full of “what if” sketches. By lunch, he was pairing with mentors and asking how we’d know our products truly helps people. That’s Miguel: curious, focused, and gets things done.

Most weekends you’ll find him at hackathons with his team, chasing clean demos and real impact. His recent wins include: HackerCup (DLSU) and Inventi Hackathon (Inventi Asia).

Ask Miguel why he builds and he keeps it honest: “It’s for the thrill of the competitions and upskilling. But ultimately, it’s building for good.” and that shows up in the choices he makes, prioritizing performance and designing for real constraints, just like the feature he built for Rush PH!

We’re proud to have Miguel on the floor, learning fast, asking better questions, and reminding us why we build.

Last May 24, 2025, at Animo Labs HQ, Br. Andrew Gonzales Hall, De La Salle University, Manila, participants gathered for the workshop “𝐏𝐇𝐏 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝! 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟” to explore how Laravel has revitalized PHP development.
