📜🇵🇭 NO VACANCY. NO REDUCTION.
The Constitution provides that the Senate is composed of 24 Senators. Unless there is a lawful vacancy through resignation, expulsion, death, or final disqualification, the total membership remains unchanged.
The issue is not about personalities or political affiliations—it is about constitutional interpretation, representation, and the voice of the people who elected their Senators.
As long as there is no vacancy, the constitutional numbers remain the same.
24 is still 24.
A majority of 24 is still 13.
⚖️ Democracy works best when constitutional rules are applied consistently and fairly, regardless of who benefits or who is affected.

📌 FLOOD CONTROL vs VP SARA DUTERTE IMPEACHMENT
As Filipinos, we can discuss more than one national issue at a time. While the impeachment case against VP Sara Duterte is already undergoing a constitutional process with public hearings and legal scrutiny, many citizens are also asking why concerns surrounding flood control spending, project implementation, and recurring flooding remain largely unresolved despite years of government funding.
The question is not whether one issue should replace the other, but whether government institutions can ensure both accountability and effective public service at the same time.
💭 What do you think should receive greater attention from our leaders today?

🔎 INFORMATION AWARENESS POST

I am neither pro-Duterte nor pro-BBM. I am pro-Filipino, as a Filipino Muslim, my loyalty is to the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of every citizen.
What happened to former President Rodrigo Duterte should never be repeated against Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa—or against any Filipino citizen. Regardless of political affiliation, every person deserves due process, the presumption of innocence, and the opportunity to answer allegations before the proper courts.
The sovereignty of the Philippines must be respected. Our institutions should be strengthened, our justice system should function fairly and independently, and political differences should never outweigh the rights guaranteed to every Filipino.
Public officials were elected to serve the people, uphold the law, and protect the rights of citizens—not to advance personal or political interests.
Let us move beyond partisan politics and focus on what truly matters: justice, accountability, peace, and the welfare of the Filipino people.

The ICC debate is no longer just about Duterte, Bato, or partisan politics.
The deeper issue now is the balance between:
🇵🇭 Philippine Sovereignty
⚖️ Constitutional Due Process
🌐 International Accountability
The Philippines still has functioning courts, prosecutors, and constitutional institutions. This is why many legal analysts and constitutionalists are asking:
If our justice system is operational, should Filipino citizens be surrendered to foreign jurisdiction without fully exhausting domestic legal remedies first?
At the same time, supporters of the ICC process argue that international mechanisms exist precisely for situations where accountability involving powerful officials becomes difficult domestically.
This is why the issue has become highly divisive.
One side fears:
• political weaponization of international institutions
• erosion of sovereignty
• dangerous precedents against citizens
The other side fears:
• impunity
• lack of accountability
• selective application of justice
The real national conversation should not simply be:
“Pro-Duterte or Anti-Duterte.”
The bigger question is:
How can the Philippines protect constitutional rights, preserve sovereignty, and still uphold accountability under international law?
Whatever position people take, the precedent established today may affect future governments, future opposition groups, and future Filipino citizens for generations to come.
