The National Privacy Commission (NPC) is now accepting applications for Recognition as an Accountability Agent under the APEC Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) System and the Global CBPR System.

Accountability Agents play a central role in both frameworks by assessing and certifying whether participating organizations meet CBPR requirements. They also work collaboratively with companies, consumers, and government agencies in addressing privacy-related concerns and ensuring accountability in cross-border personal data transfers.

📅 Application Period: January 27 – February 27, 2026

🔍 Important: Submission of an application for recognition to one CBPR system does not automatically constitute an application to the other. Organizations intending to participate in both the APEC and Global CBPR systems must submit separate applications.
