—the wrap skirt dress

This is a look dedicated to the person who has given me life and made me the woman I am today; a look dedicated to my number one supporter, who has always wrapped me in her unconditional love, giving me so much comfort in every possible way; a look dedicated to my mom, Eleanor Milagros Eleazar Tan, because the world deserves to know you are the reason why I’m here.

This is a two-piece ensemble portraying the weight of all the unspoken feelings we choose to carry every day that no one will ever understand. And while we thought keeping it inside was helping us heal from the pain, we don’t realize how we silently drown inside.

This is a three-piece ensemble representing how grief is a lifelong process. It becomes a part of your life that you learn to live with, and letting those tears out is, sometimes, the only way to make things a little less heavy inside.

This is a two-piece ensemble embodying the hole it leaves us whenever a loved one departs. These holes are emptiness inside, knowing nothing will ever be the same again. And when we feel like there is no way out, we slowly find strength even without their physical presence, helping us put our shattered pieces back together.

This is a two-piece ensemble that speaks about the memories of our departed loved ones we wish to immortalize. While it can sometimes be painful, these are patches of beautiful memories we keep close to our bodies as we continue battling in this so-called life.
